Great to hear he has been given a place in the squad!
Top scorer in the Dutch league in 2015/16, there has to be a player in there somewhere.
Think his issues are more with mentality than anything else, really hope he can turn it around as he has done before, good luck Vinny.

It actually sounds like we might see him appear for the 1st team again sometime. There have been reports about Poch falling out with other players in the squad, and later making up, though it seemed impossible at the time. See Toby for example.
He's a bit more pragmatic than most people give him credit for.

Oh deary me. A token squad place? Why? He should still be behind Parrott in the pecking order. The dude is just not good enough and should not be given first team minutes ahead of a promising player. I like the bloke but he isnt good enough at all.
Parrott is 17 this month. He is a free pick as under 21 so won’t affect his chances.
We will probably need a few more injuries before Vincent gets a game.

That's the spirit. Put the boot into our own players. You've obviously seen a lot of Parrot to reach such a conclusion - or maybe not and it's just a bit of vitriolic bollocks. Parrot's available anyway regardless of VJ getting a squad number.

You know what, I'm going to be deluded here but everything I read about Janssen was basically that he struggled initially, that things were difficult and then he overcame the odds, seemingly every single club he was at was an uphill battle. So I'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope this is the start of a Sissoko esque rise for Bangssen, I'm happy to back him to come good and hope he can contribute. Best case scenario he comes good, worse case we put him in the shop window.

Only negative is that there is a player in the way of Parott getting some minutes but tbh given his age, he sounds 2 seasons away from really getting a proper opportunity.

He’s not good enough, mate. Llorente is far from at his best anymore and just lumbers around on the pitch yet is still miles better than Janssen. I’ll happily eat humble pie if he actually scores if he gets a few chances but the chances of that happening are less than zero

Poch says it's too soon for Janssen to be involved tomorrow. "For different reasons he can’t go away - reasons that are difficult to understand for me. But in the moment he cannot agree with the club...to find a place for him...I’m a person & we're people that always care."

It does stink of desperation Poch going back on his word and giving him a squad number, but our squad is already limited in size so makes sense. All this talk of Parott being better is mental, yes his a prospect, but his 16 years old and never played a mens first team game.

Poch isn't on the same hype train as me just yet I feel.

CHECK THIS LAD OUT

I'm sorry but there's just no way we will sign anyone like that. A 25 yr old striker who's capped for Netherlands? You must be joking.

All kidding aside, you can see there is ability there.

Pochettino has said he's in and will be involved so let's see how this unfolds.

Ultimately, the only way we shift him is if he proves some semblance of worth. Like I said before, to not include him now would be cutting off noses to spite faces.

We just need to put him in the right game to get him some confidence vs one of the shitty teams like Chelsea or Arsenal.

Yeah, this bit all sounds a bit odd. Maybe Janssen has some funky clauses in his contract, which no other club is able to match.
Clearly Poch is offering the olive branch and isn't going to leave him out to rot completely.
