We might, hopefully, one day find out about the great mystery why Poch had left VJ out of the squad earlier, when Poch releases his second book.

UEFA rules are different than PL when it comes to who is club trained and of U21 status. So there's one less spot in the CL squad than the Prem one.

Best thing with him being back is that we're reminded that his full name is Vincent Petrus Anna Sebastiaan.

If he manages 10 goals for the rest of the season, Levy might be able to make a profit on his sale in the summer.

I hope he comes good, as i do with ALL Spurs players, I want them all to be mega.

I don’t think we ever played to his strengths tho, same with Llorente. The problem being that Kane can do almost anything up top, poacher, left foot, right foot, head, long shots, hold up, pass short and long, corners (ahem!), go past people, the actual fucking lot. That’s why he’s so special. Other strikers are specialists in one, or maybe a couple of those things. So between Llorente and Jansen, hopefully we’ve got a good couple of options while Kane is out.
With this, I've always known we've been spoilt by Harry Kane. But when you put it like this, i see it completely. The guy is unbelievable - i remember seeing a quote from the world cup that the England team was on edge constantly as they knew that Harry could just train and overtake literally anyone in the squad in terms of what they do.

The guy is incredible. Possibly the greatest talent we'll see at the club in our lifetime, so make the most of watching him.

Dragging it back to the Janssen chat, basically any striker coming in when Harry's out will look shite because Kane's that good

I have always thought that we need to buy a completely different striker from Kane, preferably with blistering pace so is able to play alongside Kane as well as a cover option. So therefore can really stretch defences and then Kane can take deeper positions.

The problem with Janssen is that he is too similar to Kane in a way obviously no way as good.

CHECK THIS LAD OUT

He just looked much slower with everything he did when we signed him, not just pace. Everything. He looked bigger also. But might as well stick him in the squad. I think the guy has a point to prove and maybe that’s why he didn’t want to leave, sees Harry out for another 2 months and thinks he gets a chance to prove Poch wrong. ?. Fair play if it’s the reason. Fighter.

He isn’t a natural striker he is a manufactured one IMO. He will never be a success in a top league such as the PL. he needs to move to a less demanding and challenging league.

I thought that Poch said he wasn't a manufactured like a sofa, or Chesterfield type player?

Don't think we'll ever really know as Pochettino is quite candid about inside stuff. Janssen on the other hand may reveal his side of the story when he leaves.

More recent quotes from Pochettino though make it seem (to me) that Janssen wasn't in his plans as he had made it clear he wanted to leave, but now that a move hadn't materialised and Janssen has returned to training from long-term injury, then it's time to utilise him.

He mentioned about Janssen needing to get fit, maybe he’s never put the required effort into be included in the squads before
