Last time I remember him play for us, he looked fat.
Is he properly fit these days?

Can imagine Poch and his coaching crew hanging out drinking Mate and reflected on Sissoko's improbable come back.
Miki "Amazing how we have assisted MS in turning things around. Impossible to think of a more unlikely return than this one."
Poch, looks up at the ceiling, a smile on his face....Jesus gives him a look and then starts smiling.
Poch hands his drink over to Miki and says: "Hold my mate amigo, I have a press conference to give....and go and tell Vinny to report for duty now."
Scene fades.

We'll we're paying him anyway and with a squad place free he may aswell go in. Up to him if can earn a spot in a few games. For what it's worth, i hope he can turn it around for us, i wouldn't bet on it but i hope he can show something for us either to make some overdue progress here or to earn a move.

Some interesting quotes from Poch regarding VJ

“But now when you cannot achieve what you want I think it’s so important that he feels again that he can be helpful for the club, for us the coaching staff and try to get fit. If he can help us, perfect. If not he starts to feel he is involved with the first team again. Always he behaved well. That is so important, that he was very respectful with everyone"

So it clearly isn't a personal attitude problem. Daytripper's point (or something similar) makes real sense.

And then Poch goes full out furniture analogy again... and it's a good one.

“But in the end when that was impossible I think the most important thing now is to treat him [properly] because he’s a person and my responsibility is to manage people, not chairs or sofas or furniture."

Always wanted him to come good. I was so desperate for him to join. He looked a proper Spurs player.

But I really think his shape is not the best he can be. And that's harming him. He looked so clumsy in the last few games he played.

Too bad there are no more Carabao and FA cup games for him to be used. Tbh, i don't see him in the plan at all.

Didn't someone on here catch him going into a kebab shop for his dinner one time?

Yes will never forget someone mentioned they saw him getting a Kebab and getting back into his Mclaren and how perfectly that summed things up!!
He's living the dream tbh. Only way he could have had a more perfect situation is if he had Karren Brady's daughter in the passenger seat waiting to suck him off.

With sterling and nkoudu out on loan, this guy is probably one or two injuries away from making the bench until dele and kane are back. I'm almost a little sad we aren't still in the fa Cup so he could maybe get some game time and show us something.

I would be very curious to see how he performs. Id put him on the bench in the next few games and see how he does - I bet he does well as well the fucker haha.

My view is he would still be in the shop window moreso than him battling for a future with us - thats my thought but could be shite.

I am surprised a Burnley or even Cardiff didnt go for him hell... even Huddersfield

Poch would never make a living as a used car salesman.

Ford Mondeo. Has been clocked and bodged up for the MOT. Dog was sick in the back seat and there are loads of better ones available for the same money or less. I'd give it away but my boss says he wants more for it than we paid for it 4 years ago. No reasonable offers accepted - full asking price only.

And he was so unimpressed with the Mondeo that he stripped it of its number plate lol.

I would love to see him do a Mouss & miraculously come very good with goals, and assists. Nobody would be happier to eat humble pie than me.

Maybe we could try transfusing some of Sissoko's blood into him?

Maybe Sissoko secretly stole some of Dembele's blood whilst he slept?? :nailbiting::nailbiting:

I hope he comes good, as i do with ALL Spurs players, I want them all to be mega.

I don’t think we ever played to his strengths tho, same with Llorente. The problem being that Kane can do almost anything up top, poacher, left foot, right foot, head, long shots, hold up, pass short and long, corners (ahem!), go past people, the actual fucking lot. That’s why he’s so special. Other strikers are specialists in one, or maybe a couple of those things. So between Llorente and Jansen, hopefully we’ve got a good couple of options while Kane is out.

I think Gavspurs is right on as we didn't play to his strengths. If you look at his highlight reel from days gone by, he scored most of his goals facing the goal with just a few touches and a very high percentage near the 6 yard box. to be sure there is atrocious defending going on and the EPL defenders are quicker, but the guy is a classic sniffer. don't know that he can cut it in the EPL but would be interested to see him come off the bench and pair up with Harry. if Kane draws most of the attention to himself, VJ just might have that little extra room that he probably needs. He does seem to find those little holes of space so if his confidence returns, he might turn a draw into a win in a game or two and that could make all the difference in the world.

It's more likely that Messi was syphoning Sissoko's blood but for the last year or so stopped as he's already won it all, thus allowing Sissoko to show his true form.
