He played well until that clearance, which on his weaker foot, back to the pitch, with no support from any where, was hardly horrendous. I was more mortified by Sissoko and Eriksen’s attempts to stop the attack afterwards, and Vertonghen falling asleep, but I guess they’re too popular to dog out.
Wheres your evidence hes a better defender? You've just said yourself hes not had many minutes. No, TAA is better because he's been blessed physically with height and lightening pace. Could it possibly be that KWP doesn't play because the people who see him training every day see a player whos liable to cost us games?
It's the same old academy bias shite over and over. KWP isn't good enough and will probably never be good enough.
Where did I say he was a better defender? And TAA isn’t much faster than KWP, and there’s been games this season where he’s been poor but Klopp still played him because as a young player you need minutes to get better
And stop with this academy bias shit, I say he should play because our RB aren’t much better and he has potential not because he’s from the academy
you can't on one hand say that he doesn't play because the people in charge don't think he's good enough and then go on to say he'll never be good enough. if he'll never be good enough then those same people in charge wouldn't keep signing him up to new long-term deals and refusing to loan him out.
Yeah a bit of bias. He was fine, the clearance was poor but he wasn't complete shit all game like everyone is making him out to be.He played well until that clearance, which on his weaker foot, back to the pitch, with no support from any where, was hardly horrendous. I was more mortified by Sissoko and Eriksen’s attempts to stop the attack afterwards, and Vertonghen falling asleep, but I guess they’re too popular to dog out.
he doesn't count as home grown currently and you do know that there is no such thing as a home grown quota don't you? just a limit on the number of foreign players you're allowed to have. keeping a player because he counts as home grown but never playing them achieves nothing for anyone.
See this is the thing, what's his poorest mistake this season in a game we lost?
The only League games we've lost in that he's played have been City, Liverpool, Wolves, Watford and United.
Strongly disagree. Why wouldn't we want to keep HG players around so we wouldn't have to be up against it when it comes to who we can add?he doesn't count as home grown currently and you do know that there is no such thing as a home grown quota don't you? just a limit on the number of foreign players you're allowed to have. keeping a player because he counts as home grown but never playing them achieves nothing for anyone.

He started the game poorly. He then did reasonably well for the middle part and then ended the game poorly, not helped by the fact we were tactically all over the place.
The fact is Aurier has never really been given a run of games. At face value it seems to me he isn't good enough but it is hard to judge unless he gets a run of a few games under him.
He can leave IMO
We need alot more from both our Rb's but Aurier is simply not good enough for where we want to be.I'll give him until the end of the season to turn it around otherwise I'd accept offers for him in the summer. 2 years is plenty of time to make a significant impact.
I found him extremely frustrating today. And I've been banging on about playing him over Trippier.
But at least Tripper offers a lot more going forward, even though he's a liability defensively against any pacey attack.
Aurier is the more robust defender but he didn't even get the basics right in that respect today, and it was his silly clearance that led to their second goal.
He was also played in, by Son I think, into a fabulous position with two or three in great positions in the box, basically any half decent ball probably results in a goal and he made an absolute mess of it.
Yes we lost, and it was really frustrating and it's easy to target some players... Hindsight is great etc... But you can't help but feel Tripper and Sanchez in that starting eleven would of made a significant difference today.
In fact this was a game for Trippier as Burnley are certainly not a lively attacking force.
