This is the thing. I can't see how a ref could say something like that and get away with it. Moreover, I can't see Poch apologising for reacting to it. If I was a football manager and my team were mocked in that fashion, I wouldn't be shouting in his face, I'd be trying to deck the ****. And fuck apologising for it afterwards!
It can't be that, surely.
EDIT: Something else occurs to me: the Burnley game was the 12:30 kick off. Neither Liverpool nor Man City had even played at that point. For all Dean knew, they could both have lost their games that weekend and the table wouldn't have been any different.
The more I think about it, the more unlikely I think it was a comment of that nature. I'm not denying that the pointless sack of shit did provoke Poch, but I don't think it was with anything like that.
I don't think it really matters what Dean said, to be honest. I think the whole incident has been blown completely out of proportion. It should have ended there and then but the media went after Poch and that's all the FA actually cares about when handing out punishments.
