You seem convinced it's an either or? We can beat both and should try 100% to beat both.
To be honest I agree with you that we can win both and I do like to beat West Ham but where I think we have some leeway is that it's not desperate to the point of risking any borderline fit players, we've given ourselves some scope so if necessary we should take advantage of it. We can lose a game and still not be caught for third.
Chelsea and/United will drop points when they play each other and Arsenal will be lucky to win one of their last three games.

Make no mistake, if we lose to the spammers it will be squeaky bum time. Everton and Bournemouth arent easy games at the best of times.

We need to win on Saturday and keep the pressure up. The others will wilt as usual.

I think losing this would be as bad going into the ajax game as risking players. We win the pressure for top for is lessened massively and we can focus on the ajax game 100%. A loss we will be looking over our shoulders and might lack confidence. If it doesn't go our way nerves will show with the fans and players. Think both are massive games we need to win. Also couldn't bear our first loss at the new stadium to be west ham. It would be unbearable.

I'm a head of year in a secondary school where football is religion. As you can imagine the kids are all scum,Chelsea and utd fans. When they lose I absolutely rinse it for all it's worth. I do assemblies with the table displayed on a huge screen or play clips of the goals they concede.

Cant wait for tomorrow

What a great week of football the last one week

Two defeats and I completely agree. 3 points at the Slave Trader stadium would have made it perfect, but this is certainly the next best thing.

That Eriksen goal just gets better and better.

Bournemouth and Everton have been two of our easiest fixtures under Poch.

Slave Trader stadium?

Its been an orgasmic week, this time last week I was in dream land from that emotional high, losing against Shitty was expected but the way the trailing three have buckled has been hilarious

One more win i think will do this.

Nah I'd rather beat Ajax me.

I'd rather beat both, beating spam makes my birthday pretty special, if Leicester beat Arsenal, and Man U beat Chelsea my birthday will be signed off with a ribbon, as Man U would need to win their last 2 and turn a 17 goal GD around to finish above, and Chelsea would need to turn a minimum 11 goals GD around without us gaining another point. if Chelsea where to beat or draw with Man U, we would be guaranteed top 4 providing Leicester win.

then add the icing on the cake and beat Ajax by 2-0

the trouble is lose or draw with Wet Spam, Chelsea and Arsenal win means we then add pressure on ourselves with only 2 games. we could rest players (if we have any to rest), still end up with a poor result to Ajax and then have to throw everything at it for the last 3 games (2PL, 1CL) and not be able to rest anyone.

beat Spam hope to get a lead v Ajax, and at worst only need 1 point to guarantee 3rd spot

A draw or loss would still leave us in the driving seat, but a win would be huge in terms of the CL. Depending on how results go, Huddersfield and Everton could be dead rubbers, allowing us to go all out in the CL.

I know that we’d love to, but I doubt the PL would allow us to play Huddersfield again this season. And neither would Huddersfield want it. :cautious:

I love the fact that the teams around us are struggling. It must be frustrating for the media. Who were a bit too keen to jump on our backs when we had a bad run, and declare how Spursy it is to go from where we were to tumbling out of the top 4. They picked the wrong pony methinks!!

It would be perfect if we win on Saturday and by the end of the weekend have top 4 sealed. We can then rest everyone against Bournemouth before the return leg against Ajax. With Son and hopefully Sissoko back for the 2nd leg we'll give ourselves the best chance of whatever result we need there.
