I get the impression he's never even wanted to go there. It seems to be the case that we're more keen to push him out than him wanting to leave.

If you ask me, it's totally crazy that we can't forgive the guy who's clearly given his all this season and risk letting him to go a rival.
If we're just going by ITK still I'd take it with a HUGE pinch of salt. Who's to say what's happen Ed behind the scenes in the last 6 months, where Toby's played almost every big game we've had.

United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all had major problems this season. I really hope we take the hint that they're unlikely to be this bad next season and that we strengthen a lot this summer.

Yesterday's loss is even more annoying knowing we would've qualified today with a win. I hope Poch can motivate his boys for Saturday. They can qualify with a win and won't have to worry about a thing for the final game. If they can't get themselves amped for that, then we will deserve to end up on the outside looking in. I really really hope they'll get their act together by then and let all of us breath a sigh of relief.

Yep, two draws would do it due to goal difference of +9 on Arsenal, unless they could make that up on us.

But let's just win the next game at Bournemouth and be done with it.

Then we can play the reserves in the last game at Everton and rest everyone for the Champions League final.

If we fail to finish in the top 4 now we really have nobody to blame but ourselves. We have been lucky with other teams slipping up.

I would have preferred a United win, because with our +15 GD on them they aren't finishing above us. But a draw is still good.

Actually I think that would have been worse, as it would have meant that both Man U and Chelsea would have had a better chance of finishing above us.

I think it's fairly obvious that Alderweireld and his advisors have dragged it out. That clause went in his contract so they could get maximum leverage towards the end of his deal and with the confidence he will have a lot of offers and he'll wait and see what the best footballing and financial one he gets is.

Maybe these don't materialise and/or he decides Spurs is the best place for him after all, but that might be too late in the clubs/Poch's eyes we don't know.

To be fair, this comment is made every season. Maybe one day our luck will run out but we are a very consistent team and 6 does not fit into 4 so there are always going to be at least a couple top four teams underperforming.
