Winks grew into it for sure, but he is not a DCM positioning wise (where was he for their goal? Answer - about 30M the wrong side of their CAM)
Cant blame winks for the goal - he was directed to push further up the pitch. Was Siss who fucked up in shielding the backline.

Main problem is structural. Static, lavk of an attacking plan and no clear division on labour defensively. Only one to blame is poch

I will be happy if we could get 3rd this year. City and Liverpool are miles ahead of us. It might be helpful to lower your expectations. We are not as good as what we think we are. New players need time to settle in and unless someone decides to step his game up just like what Kane and Son do in previous years, we do not stand a chance at all.
Yes but we ought to be winning these games regardless

When we initially signed him of a great season in Italy I was convinced that he would be the ideal replacement for Bale, yes I knew he would need time to acclimate to the Premier League but unfortunately it's safe to say it just didn't work out for him. He should have been moved on this Summer, such a shame too as I think he has bags of ability but he's just not suited to the frenetic pace of English football.

The most freaking frustrating part of him is that he doesn't even shoot anymore!
Dude has a wicked left foot and scored bangers at Roma, and he just freaking stopped even attempting here.

Fluked our way to a CL final somehow, but our form is comparable with Juande Ramos' days. Poch struggle tactically making us worse than our parts. Hopefully we can change this in second half, but there's so many donkeys on the bench in stead of the positivity that fired up our pre season.

Moura has gone missing since he missed that sitter. Lamela is his usual frustrating self, their goal came from his ludicrous attempt at the free kick. Sissoko looks back to his pre last season form and Kane has missed his three attempts.

All in all, I remembered very quickly that last season was not enjoyable and unfortunately it looks like this season is carrying on where last season left off.

Take Sisokko or Ndombele off for Eriksen and push Lamela our wide on the left. Basically revert to 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 and get players picking up the ball where they can do damage. Literally a continuation of the form of the back end of last season which was partly caused by this shite formation

On the plus side, we do have Dele, Son, Eriksen, Vertonghen and Sessegnon to come into this side.

The number of passes we take to get in their area is ridiculous. I'ts such a slow build up every time we go forward. City and Liverpool must be thinking they can't wait to get at that defence. I said it last year and I still believe it that Sanchez is not the real deal and leaves us open to many times.

Someone said he’s got the shits.

Although he was in the crowd with shades on, so I doubt it.

Absolutely brilliant, that lifted my mood more than the first half.

How?
Lamela and Moura will be working off the wings. When we're in possession they are starting wide, and only cutting in if they have the ball. Right now everyone else is taking the space that Kane needs to be effective away from him when they don't have the ball.

You put a left-footed Lamela on the right wing and a right-footed Moura on the left wing. Both will be cutting inside (I don't think Lamela knows how to play on a wing anyway). I want players keep carrying the ball down the wings as well, especially considering how wank our fullbacks are.

Need some energy on the pitch just not sure who can provide it.

The subtlety of our short passing inter play is dreadful; Pass the ball into a striker and run straight at him then he hammers the ball in your general direction and expects the midfielder to do something with it while surrounded coupled with our heavy touches it's not a pleasant mix... Also very little appreciation of where the side is and where to move, not just for yourself but for the good of the team.

We are too reliant on individual brilliance and dribbling to create, team moves in these games are few and far between

The only answer to deep sitting teams is either technic or long range shooting.

Eriksen. Son. Lo Celso.

I thought this season would be a slow start to be fair. Will take time for us to figure out our best set up and especially with new players coming in/players returning
