It does not help that Poch signed.
Ndombele brilliant but soft as butter and loses the ball in the area between our penalties area and the halfway line too often the worst area to lose possession.i must say for all his ability he comes across as a bit of a wimp.
Sessegnon has proved nothing and has not put his stamp on left back or left wing the jury is out.
Le Celso looks neat but as of yet has produced nothing of note .How long do we wait for him to be productive?
These players may come good but right now we need players that are good to go .
If we do sign anybody they must be proven premier league players or players of sufficient quality that they will produce from the off.
That’s why I wasn’t one of those creaming my pants over our summer transfer business.
The only one I was genuinely excited about was N’Dombele. Little did we know he would have all the fitness issues, but I still think he has all the tools and long term will be a great signing.
Lo Celso I knew nothing about and the little I had seen looked promising ( albeit totally one footed), but couldn’t really understand why he was being touted as some kind of midfield creative saviour.
And Sess although I was by no means against the signing, he was in no way going to come straight in and tear it up. It felt more like one of our “one for the future” signings. Nothing wrong with that at all, but we didn’t do enough business for the here and now that we needed.
We still had a broken Wanyama and a not up to it Dier in DM, still had the clusterfuck of a RB situation and still needed another striker imo.
