Lack of striker makes some of our attacking players look worse than they actually are
Then you change your tactics...
Key rating here should be focused really on one person unfortunatley whiich is
Really frustrating having Lo Celso just watch the ball be hit over his head 40 yards up field constantly. These tactics of hoofball are not going to workout with out Kane on the field. It just puts our weak defense under constant pressure.
Yep, they can move the ball quickly & efficiently forwards. But theyre also aware of when to just play it simply and keep the ball. We invite too much pressure on ourselves and our defense isn't good enough to hold up under that sort of constant attack.Completely agree. It was even more apparent when Ndombele came on. Both he and Lo Celso were constantly coming short to get it off of Toby and were constantly ignored for a hopeful long ball that didn't come off once
There was some sparks of genuine quality play between that midfield 3. We need to get them on the ball much quicker and much more often
Were you on auto pilot when you said that he played well? He was terrible as he participated in our dour performance of imitating headless chickens. He (among others) should have been taken off at half timeSanchez Lo Celso Lloris Alli Thought played well the rest were OK
I notice how Davies while having a very poor game, was given a free pass, as no one has dared to criticise him for making that dreadful tackle for their penalty. Had that been Aurier.................................... (fill in the rest)!Davies should never be more than a back-up, and the thought that he is our number one LB in a Champions League game is depressing.
