Oh fuck off
They really like 'soccer'
According to one list that I saw it's the 4th most popular sport shown on TV, with only NFL, Basketball and Baseball above it. The same for participation. I guess you can find all sorts of list that move 'soccer' up or down a place or two but it's undeniably very very popular over there.
So would I. Madrid is a truly great place to live too. However, it's still such a waste. The top top players wouldn't be happy at all with the situation, and that mentality is what separates Bale from the best.If I was Gareth Bale I would also happily sit on my £600k a week contract without kicking a football.
You think with Rose probably leaving he will take the no. 3 shirt again?
Bump
That just means we wouldn't want him, not that it isn't viable.
I really want to know what people think the realistic options for Bale and Madrid are, if Bale wants to stay in Europe.
I keep reading his salary makes it impossible. But I think that's complete nonsense. Madrid are just going to have to recoup as much of his salary as they can and there is going to be a serious shortage of clubs willing to be even close to half of it.
This isn't 2016. There is going be no bidding war between, City, Utd, Bayern, Juve and PSG. For Madrid, financially speaking, this is going to be a damage limitation exercise.

just imagine the shirt sales. If we are looking to move Lamela on, then the no.11 shirt might be free
just imagine the shirt sales.
I so wouldn't, money is relative and he has tons already I would rather play football if that was my chosen profession. If I was Gareth Bale I would also happily sit on my £600k a week contract without kicking a football.

Youre looking at it purely from Madrids point of view
No one wants him, regardless of how viable it is
He's always had that big game mentality, and think he is still motivated for wales.I reckon two or three seasons ago he still had that elite mentality and would have been up for moving club and showing everyone he’s still a great player but now at 31, probably can’t be arsed anymore. He knows nobody can afford, or would go anywhere near his current wages so would rather just see out his contract.
