CV is showing why there aren't many out and out No 9s out there. He needs to mix it up a bit.

Bale might as well not be on the pitch. Bergwijn is at least running about a bit.

It's a scratch team, so not surprising it's all a bit disjointed, but I thought we'd still have too much for them. Not so.

I guess we can moan about everyone, Bale is way off starting in the premiership on this showing.
Some good touches from Vinicious but it all looks disjointed.
I was looking forward to seeing Lo Celso Dele and Bale together but it's not working yet.
Things will be different second half though even if Jose doesn't make changes.

That half shows the importance of Hojbjerg and why the squad needs better back up for him, and that Dele is never going to deliver in the middle of the park.

We’re so fucking narrow Antwerp don’t need their midfield to drop. I don’t buy the excuse that changes disrupt the team, they’ve been training together for months and would have worked on this game for the last few days. The players just can’t be fucked to run about or put in the effort as they thought this was an easy game, but Antwerp are much more motivated for this game and deserve to win based on the first half.

Dele is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Coasts through games far too often to be considered anything more than a decent player.

Its like Dele's body language has infected the whole team, he slows play down so much it has a knock on effect to everyone, no pass & move just pass & stand around. Said it before, Dele has no place in a Jose team.

pretty poor play. disjointed, poor first touch, wayward passes. much can be attributed to lack of playing time for some of the players but certainly not to this level. still in the game but need to turn it around quick

Yeah that wasnt great. Antwerp are not good. Mid table Championship at best. We've done that Spurs thing where we slow our play down so as to give the oppo a chance to play to their only strength.

Just pass and move faster. Support Vini (who tbh is the only player doing what he must have been asked to do) more quickly.

Just do everything faster. Ffs, I've seen decent pub sides who are not a lot worse than Antwerp.

I'm not gonna lie... A chocolate teapot but after it's cooled down... All melted but cooled. Then break it off and munch.
