What is the point of Doherty? Can't defend. Can't pass. Can't attack. Is he also a great character to have in the dressing room?

LASK were good and deserved to win if we are being honest.
They did deserve to win but a lot of that was down to how piss poor we were.
We allowed them to play. No pressure or closing down. And we couldn't string 2 passes together. Theyll have a tougher game against a mid table team from their own league.

Tactics? That's the reason you think we drew 3-3? Nothing to do with the players, to a man, playing like a hungover pub team. Where do you want to start?

Doherty, misplaced about 15 passes and was out of position constantly.
Hart missed at least two of those shots that Gazzaniga and Lloris would have saved.
Moura probably lost the ball at least 20 times and simply couldn't control anything or make a single run.
Bale is completely off and lost out there. At least three time he had simple passes to make to play Son in and failed miserably.
Sanchez is a fucking liability. Sorry, but Jose can't go out there and actually teach him how to clear a ball or not get caught out of position.
Davies also couldn't make a single pass of note.
NDombele was lost in no-mans land all game long and really lacked effort.
Then we have Lo Celso -- he was next level shit. I'm so completely embarrassed for the likes of Winks who would have watched that and wondered, 'wtf'? GLC was a fucking disgrace all game long. I'd love to see how many time he lost the ball and came out 2nd place in nearly every challenge. And to top it off, he couldn't make the simplest of passes.

JOSE cannot make those players learn how to not be exceptionally shit in application and effort. That has FUCK ALL to do with tactics.

If I am going to be critical of Jose, it would be this: Dele deserved to start, as did Winks. And lastly, switching to back a 3 toward the end, seemed to throw off Sanchez and Doherty in particular. The former was responsible for the 2nd goal, as was Hart. Because he was completely out of position. He also should have done MUCH better with the 3rd.

But these are professionals. They should be able to make that sort of switch and adjust accordingly. To pin that shit show on Jose is basically agenda-driven. As you are giving the players a pass. Like it was Jose's tactics that caused nearly all of them to play like absolute crap and forget how to actually put in an effort and show that they care, as they were 2nd to every ball tonight.

As the saying goes, you can do all the training and planning in the world for a contest, but that shit goes out the window, once you get punched in the mouth. They punched us, and we assumed the fetal position for the rest of the game.

Sorry to be so harsh. But pinning that result on the manager and somehow ignoring that our players were in absentia all game long is not how I saw the game unfold.
Preach, Jez!

it's performances like this where all the optimism of us achieving anything meaningful this season fades away. I'm waiting for us to fall back into this form in the PL , it just seems inevitable. Sunday may even be the start of it if Kane misses that game. Sorry guys I am sticking to my initial gut feeling that Mourinho is not the answer , time will tell.

Feeling really low and just wanted someone to talk to...

Would you be free at any stage?

What about last week when we won?

Ludogrets entered our half twice. The point is they will win some, lose some. But the drop in quality is huge. Sometimes it's made out that we have a squad where we have players that can come straight in and the quality doesn't drop. That's not true.

Watched the game on a delay after putting my boy to bed. Fuck me, what a shower of shit. Struggling to remember a game where we’ve played worse and haven’t lost. The entire back 4 looked like they’d never played football before. Doherty, Davies and Sanchez shouldn’t be anywhere near Premier League games for a while unless injuries force it. Honestly think I’d rather stick Sissoko at RB over Doherty if Aurier got injured.

Bale’s fitness getting better is a positive if you’re desperate to find one but overall that was dreadful from start to finish. I know lots on here have a hard on to have both Tanguy and Gio start but that’s twice in Europe we’ve gone with that kind of shape in midfield (think we started with Gio and Dele in that shape vs Antwerp?) and both times we’ve struggled to get any control of the game.

Blimey, have some of you not seen us in the Europa League before?
Nah, we've won this thing every time we've been in it winning 7, 8 & 9 nil all the way through the qualifiers - memories.

not sure why the negative posts. But I guess people don’t like facts ... some people even think Trump is a nice guy so it’s a crazy world
All I can say to that is give us some actual 'facts'. Unfortunately, buddy, what you think of as facts aren't facts, they're opinions.

Although it was a pretty horrible performance it never seems to work for us throwing the 2nd string together like that especially away from home in EL.
I’m very confident of a completely different performance on Sunday vs the woolwich wanderers with the 1st choice 11 ?

It's become quite clear that Hart has a major weakness when it comes to long range shots. I've noticed teams have caught on to that. Most of the goals he's conceded have been from distance.
Sorry, but no goalkeeper was saving those 2 strikes. I'm really not seeing the Hart dislike here. If not for him, we're 2/3 goals down by half time.

Great work by Jose. Adds two more defenders and a defensive midfielder ... making 6 defenders and 2 dm’s and we concede 2 goals in ten minutes. I just love this pro active genius management style

Why the fuck are you bothering to go to the arsenal game then if you don’t like the football?

You could of let one of us go who actually wants to get behind the team.

Can’t believe how negative some people are towards our players. It was an awful night but the job is done. We advanced, no injuries, top of the fucking premier league and have the derby in a few days. Positivity people!

You only gave to look at the arrogance in the first few pages of this thread to see why. We can go 2/3/4 up first half, people were saying, before taking players off. I wasn’t just the players who thought we only had to turn up to win (again)

I though Hart did well not including the goals, which he was at least at fault for 2 of them.
So in reflection he didn’t do so well ?
