an outstanding run by Bale but Moura needs a little bit of credit on the vision and the weight/angle of the pass. the announcers on ESPN+ were oblivious to it

Right, there we go Gareth now build on it. Hoping he stays on for the second half he needs the minutes.

For me the issue is the Sissoko/Winks partnership, too similar to each other, ball recycling, sideways players. We often get to the point where a ball is set back to the edge of the box and the only ones there for the shot are Winks and Sissoko... and in both cases you’re more concerned for the seats in the stands than you are for the back of the net.

It’s the one thing we’ve been missing since Eriksen (the decent one) left, someone from midfield who can add to our midfield play in an attacking sense and chip in with a good number of goals. I actually do think it’s our midfield that needs the most work over the next couple of windows.

Honestly, Ainsworth looks like the kind of geezer that would sell you some pirated DVDs and duty-free fags in the pub.

The goal hasn’t changed my thoughts. We look extremely dodgy at the back so the tonic is to put it out of sight. Get the big guns on, they don’t need resting any longer. It’s not worth the risk of going out of a winnable cup.

Could/should have had 3 or 4.

No need to risk the big boys yet - keep it the same for the first 15 of the second half and hopefully we'll have our chances to go ahead.

This is also where we miss Lo Celso. If he was fit, he would be playing in CM with Winks tonight.

Got to give a little bit of credit to Wycombe they’ve been at it. They’ve not been dirty, and haven’t come to the game looking for a draw etc. Been an entertaining game so far.

We'll continue to create plentiful chances second half and reckon we'll end up winning comfortably.

Can only hope that gives Bale the confidence now because he should have had a hat trick by now but undeniably he became more influential as the game progressed and looking to get on the ball more and cut inside but the goal came from good movement - I hope now he can stay on for the 90 and not be hauled off unceremoniously on the hour mark.

Tanganga isn't going to make it as a right back.
He just doesn't receive the ball well or have great dribbling.
I haven't seen him much of him but he seems more assured as a central defender.
