Ah, I just posted the same thing in the Dele thread. Very interesting if true.

Yeah I just saw that. Posted it in here as I thought it was a managerial issue but it is a player one too. Both need to sort it out and if they are meeting then at least it shows a willingness to.

Indeed. The best thing for the team and the club is that Dele either shapes up or fucks off.

And since he isn't fucking off, let's hope he can get back to form, as he's exactly what we need right now.

On paper Dele is such a Mourinho player, he's supremely talented with a suitably arrogant arsehole streak, it should be a match made in heaven. And indeed, at the start of Mourinho's tenure, it was.

If we recapture that Dele from the early Jose days, we'll be absolutely laughing. Feels almost impossible at this stage though.

Whatever is going on behind the scenes, I hope tomorrow night they come together and rise to the occasion like the finale of Meatballs 4 when Corey Feldman's character pulls off the triple hinge waterski jump despite having an injured leg.

He really showed those rich snobs from across the lake!

Regarding not judging managers during Covid well the usual suspects are in the top six and the usual suspects are in the bottom echelons the only cub that is not fulfilling its potential is Spurs .
The backing of this manager and the lambasting of the players is not right For instance all Winks has said is " if I want to play in the euros I need to be playing " now i see nothing wrong with that he has not lambasted the manager or the club he has just stated what is a fact namely
If you are not playing for your club you are not going to play for England .
But seemingly its OK for this manager to call out players on tv and in the press when in the past the very best managers keep problems in house . This mans ego has no boundaries you watch a game where we have one shot on target and he says " it was a fifty fifty game "
It is as tho he is pissing down your back and telling you its raining the sad thing is many are buying into this myth that Jose is " the special one "

I didn’t know Leicester and West Ham were the usual suspects for the top six. Or that Chelsea and Arsenal aren’t.

The 'special one' monicker is embarrassing but to try and be objective, the man is one of the most successful managers in premier League history. I read your posts and I totally understand that he is not your idea of what a Spurs manager should be and I also totally accept that you have the right to feel that attractive football should be a priority over trophies. Ideally, I would love both - personally I'd love a few trophies and get the monkey off our back as almost the 'imposters' of the elite clubs because we've won nothing of note for so long.

We need it. Dele firing on all cylinders would genuinely be enough to turn our season around. He really fucking hates Chelsea too which is a major bonus.
Yea he loves a goal against Chelsea, Dele back into the side and on top form could galvanise us, good news they’re trying to sort it out, he’s too good a player to be frozen out.

Ohh we're back to thinking Dele is the answer. Right....

I'm sorry to disappoint your but he ain't.
Without Kane to get goals himself or setup goals for Son there's almost no goals in this team at the moment. Whatever you think about Dele his end product is fantastic. We desperately need some of that.

Dele doesn't deserve to be frozen out I agree.

But he has been shit for 2 years and there's a reason he isn't in the team.

He was far to reliant on Eriksen. Hell our whole team is now suffering because we haven't replaced the guy, just look at our attacking play, we have no clear plan.

It is what they do on this board. Any player who is currently out of the fold is the answer. I mean people were even putting Danny Rose in their team against Chelsea.

Every time Lamela is out injured, he becomes a better player then the one we witnessed before his injury.

You can all scrap around for the answer but at the end of the day it is the fault of many. The manager overthinking his tactics which rely on two players being available. The recruitment team bringing in players not at the same level of the ones who left. The Chairman setting unrealistic valuations for players that were required to be sold and should have been gone two years ago.

Too be honest I don't even know what I want anymore as a fan.

Things do change, granted he wasn’t pulling up trees in too many of his performances previously but without Kane now we are quite blunt so wouldn’t do any harm trying to get dele back involved, I still think he’s a very talented player just needs confidence and to be played in his unique position as an almost support striker n.o 10 making those 3rd man runs.

He was our best player the first few matches when Jose took over and was playing the 4-2-3-1 which Poch had been playing, he may well not be the answer as the whole team is off form at the moment but he could also freshen our attack up. Let’s see if he even gets a chance he’s barely had any minutes in the Prem for quite a while.

Any answer or change is the right one after the Liverpool and Brighton game. We need an injection of attitude, fight and ideas. Dele isn't the creator in chief but if he comes in with a point to prove and some fight to stick it to Jose I'll enjoy the game against Chelsea a lot more.

Come on mate, are you joking?

Arsenal - 10th - not fulfilling their potential
Chelsea - 7th - not fulfilling their potential
Liverpool - 3rd - not fulfilling their potential

Sir Alex called out his players all the time.

Our players seem to have egos they haven't earned yet, at least Jose has something to back his up with.

As Dele is clearly staying, it would certainly be a pity if he is left out or only comes off the bench. A revitalised Dele would be awesome. Maybe a Levy masterstroke in not letting him go!
