Because Palace are pretty shit and let us do what we want?
No. We were nervous and tentative right from the opening whistle today. Against Palace we were at their throat right from the off. Go back and watch that game again. We had 1000% more intensity.

Unforgivable to approach this game as if a very average Arsenal side were prime time Barca.

Play to our strengths and exploit their weakness, it's not fucking rocket science.

If we went toe to toe with them we would beat them 8 times out if ten and it would be a lot more enjoyable to watch.

Absolute fucking shite. From the shit penalty which fucking wasn’t one, to Lamela’s idiotic foul and Son getting injured to the overall absolute crap performance.

Literally everything that could go wrong did go wrong. As bad as it could’ve been.

And worst of all we let the worst Arsenal side in a generation beat us.

On what basis do you beleive that Jose set us up negativley, considering we started with 5 attack minded players in Kane, Son, Bale, Lucas and Nodombele? The fact they failed to perform you think is down to Jose telling them not to bother attacking with any real purpose or intent?

Sanchez messed up for the pen but besides that he has a good game imo
I don't even think he messed up tbh, you could see he felt hard done by at the end. If Lacazette hadn't sliced the shot it could've been a great block.

Davinson bleeding over the result and clearly unhappy with Oliver. And I think he's got a point. I don't think it was a penalty - Lacazette kicked him not vice versa - and Lamela for all his shithousery didn't deserve the second yellow.

But the result is totally deserved. And all on the players who were woeful from the start. Dreadful, sloppy, uncommitted performance particularly from Bale; Tanguy; PEH. Doherty was poor but was hung out to dry by the players above.

Decent effort to fight it out. That's the only positive from a dreadful dreadful day at the office.

Simply were not good enough once again, players just shit the bed everytime they play at a big side, simply not good enough.
Football gods were not with us tonight despite the excellent goal by coco but apart from that we were just so poor
Got to listen to them lot all night now but at least it may shut our admin up as all week they have been taunting arsenal about this game - we should know our players dont turn up
Top 4 is done!

Hasn't Kane only ever scored that free kick against Villa from a deflection? I don't understand why the commentators big him up like he's Juninho. Not that I'm complaining, he can do anything he likes as far as I'm concerned... anything.

Scored one versus Stoke too with an even bigger deflection. But of the players on the pitch I wouldn’t have anyone else taking those late FKs

Fish stinks from the head and Jose Seemed quiet all game and his passive tactics and Doherty selection set the tone for the whole game.

Last 10 mins showed us that Arsenal don’t do well against teams in the front foot so why fucking sit back for 80mins...infuriating

Positives.

Lucas. Actually pretty decent
Lamela. The goal
The last 10 minutes

Negatives

Every single element of the first 80 mins other than those above, but with a particular mention for:

Doherty. Just completely out of his depth
Jose. Tactics awful again, and selection of Doherty an absolute bowler. How many times this year have we started playing when it’s too late?
Son’s injury
Alan Smith
Add Lee Dixon to that list

Arsenal brought William on to make it 10v10, little did they know we had been playing a man down with Doherty from the start.

I'm gonna throw Sanchez in with having a good game. Like others have said, would have been a tremendous block if La Cassette could kick straight.

I think Sanchez is a bit unlucky for the pen, he has to attempt to make a play for the ball there, he's unlucky that Lacazette's shot was so bad that he kicks the ball away from goal rather that towards it, I'd much rather him try to block it than do nothing at all.

Well that was a load of crap. So much riding on the game and we sit back like a bunch of bellends waiting to get beat. I've no problem losing if the team give it a proper go, bit this listlessness is just too much. The debate will be if it's the tactics or the players mentality, but whatever the reason is, it needs to get fixed before the next season. God awful performance

Kane needs to swallow his pride and ask Bale to teach him how to take free kicks.
I mean his first one was pretty good....
But yeah far too often they go into the wall or out of the stadium. Lucas should have a look in as well....
