Blaming Oliver’s penalty decision doesn’t excuse the absolutely pathetic performance from the players. Arsenal would have scored one way or another as we offered nothing going forward until the last 10 mins.
When they thought the game was won and nobody told Moura.

I'm gonna do a shit ton of crystal meth, after which I'll hopefully believe this whole episode was a meth induced delusion. Wish me luck.

LOL in 96 hours time when you still haven't slept, today might seem like a happy memory.

If that's the case and you're intentions are to sit back then why not play Tanganga at RB.
Because I can't give credit to the idea that we were sitting back. I've said it a couple of times in this thread - barring a single player change, we were set up precisely the way we were against Palace. So how was that a scintillating display of attacking football and this one was a shambles? The players. Doherty played against Palace and he linked up beautifully with Bale. What happened today?

The problem is that sometimes people are blinded to the fact that what the opposition does affects our team too. Arsenal, while nowhere near the intensity that you would expect in an NLD either, were miles ahead of us in their intent. So they pushed us back and the old nemesis came racing to the surface again - our wet-paper-bag fragility under pressure. As soon as that happened, the game was done. The only chance we had to start imposing ourselves on the game, after Lamela's goal, we didn't. We just again looked weak, uninterested and it gave them the perfect opportunity to take the game back and punish us.

Nearly ruined Mother’s Day, but a couple of double JDs sorted me right out. Now I’m back as the model husband and father that I was before this bag of horse shit arrived at my football door.

You probably haven't but you and others have exhausted lots of energy defending the manager.

Which tomorrow or later tonight whilst I wouldn't agree with I'd understand as opinions are what makes forums fun but during the game , during that game , no not for me.

The tactics were wrong which led to the performance being wrong which has led to a loss in the North London Derby which all leads to upset spurs fans, especially.in this horrible state of a season.
Always the tactics, do you have any idea what the tactics were? Do you think it’s the tactics that had caused us to not have any fight in the midfield and lost every 2nd ball until the last 10 minutes? It’s bloody obvious the players didn’t want it as much as arsenal did, the tactics didn’t cause us to be out worked by them lot the players did. I am also not defending Jose as I think it’s still his fault that the team wasn’t motivated albeit it’s a fking derby.

I am worried what’s going to happen in the league cup final or if we draws any decent opposition in the Europa, just can’t see how he’s going to change this team‘s mentality but ultimately he’s the one that needs to find a solution

Very poor all round today, from everyone. Feels like we had one eye on getting the job done on Thu, because I expect a full strength side for that one. Doherty in particular doesn't look cut out for this level. Very strange to revert back to that deep set up after the last 5 games. Miffed.

I haven't read all on here but I feel we got what we deserved against a very mediocre team. Why show them such respect? Bad team selection, bad tactics, poor management. Should have backed his players and let them express themselves. We would have smashed them. I'm not happy.

Reading the "average players" comments, after we'd just won 5 in a row and only conceded one, after narrowly losing a game to a dubious penalty, I can only say that there is a whole pack of people just biting at the bit for us to lose so they can come out and have their tirade.

We were second best for large spells, and we controlled for large spells. They hit the woodwork twice, we hit the post and had a narrowly offside goal disallowed, they got a dodgy penalty - the difference that settled it. In all their control they really didn't create more than us.

I'm so sick of the neagtivity. Yes, Doherty is struggling massively, but we have a reborn Lamela and Moura. Some people will never be happy unless we win the quadruple.

They should have won 3 or 4-1. The fact they were so shit at finishing doesn't make us look any better. We were second best all over the park. No press, no fight until we went down to 10 men. And lets not forget Arsenal are bang average at the moment so what does that say about us? Their manager who is shite had his team playing football. Ours didn't. There is no way this turd can be polished.

It's absolutely mad how bad PEH and Ndombele were today. Both absolutely abysmal. I mean... Why? They basically bottled the game completely.

And I'll ask you the same question that hasn't been answered yet (except by werty, who's cool):

Seeing as we set up precisely the way we did against Palace (barring a single personnel change) how is it that we played monsterish attacking play in that game and then were so weak and unintense in this one?

Because Crystal Palace are a passive team who let us do what we want. Just like Burnley. As soon as we go up against a team that can keep the ball or press a little bit this is what we do.
Absolutely. At best, we’re reasonably effective flat track bullies. But we’re pretty dreadful against technically more competent sides, generally lacking control and direction. People also need to stop using the early Utd and City examples of proof we’re capable of beating the best. That was earlier in the season, when our low block counter tactic hadn’t been completely found out, against two sides who are much better versions of themselves now.

I honestly don’t get the loyalty to Mourinho. I’ve said this before, I don’t have a personal agenda against the man and grew to like him watching All Or Nothing. But I also think that what he’s doing with us is far from good. I don’t really care about his past successes, if he can’t replicate that with us then what does his past glories matter anyway? And besides, all idols fall eventually. He’s highly unlikely to attain Champions League football for us next season, and barring a really bad day at the office for City, I can’t foresee us winning the Carabou Cup. I’m not convinced Mourinho is the right manager for us, and I’d be really disappointed if he was still in charge at the beginning of next season. I just don’t see an identity and style of play emerging that excites me both aesthetically and developmentally. As others have said, I’ve actually lost my devotion to this club this season in ways I’ve never felt before. I’ve supported this club since 1980, been through lots of highs and many more lows but I don’t get as excited about games as I used too

Just saw Lamela’s red! What a joke of a decision. Also, very unlucky with the pen as Sanchez blocks the shot if the striker actually hits it and not slice it.
