Interesting. Maybe one could begin to argue that the glory of records has greater longevity than the glory of "titles". Do Spurs fans talk of Greaves' medals or his goals?
That's the thing. Medals are wonderful, but if Kane stays he will achieve immortality. If he stays and leads to a title then he will go beyond even that. Winning the league with Man City is one thing, but winning it with Spurs will prove beyond doubt that not only is he a Spurs great, he is a Premier League great.

Now if people could stop doing our rivals' work and finding reasons why he should leave, that would be great... You don't know what he values in life any more than I do.

Sky sports has gone down the shitter these past few years, which I didn't think was possible seems as that's where they have always been. Can't believe these guys get paid to spout this shit as journalism.

it’s always been shit mate. We just didn’t have a relevant enough player to catch the shit they were throwing.

same crap before Gareth went to RM

Totti stayed at Rome when he could have moved anywhere in the world, albeit he did win a world cup. I remember Harry saying before he wanted to emulate him

No disrespect, I love Jermain but him going on about Rangers being a big club and joining them sooner is questionable?
Them beating Celtic for the title is massive.
Perhaps he meant instead of going to Bournemouth, he should have gone straight to Rangers?
As far as Harry is concerned, not much we say or hear will change the future.

He’s posted a video putting the record straight. Love Defoe.

Kane has been involved in 2 title pushing teams and a cl final with us.. Not to mention fa cup semi finals. At points he has had a bloody good team around him. Obviously he can't drag others up to his quality but It's a shame he hasn't got the charactor to galvanise a team to drive them forward and battle. I think during his time with us we have missed somebody to do that. He will stroll into a team and win things no doubt but only because it will be one of the best teams in club football.

True. But it isn’t like Kane has carried us either in these massive important games. He’s been poor as the rest of the team in them afaik.

But what is wrong with that if I was him I would want to be competing and winning trophies most year's, not be at a club like spurs where the peak of the club is to get fourth spot each year.

Firstly, no-one cares what you would do.

Secondly, the problem with your comment, since you ask, is that you are unthinkingly parroting exactly what our rivals are saying in order to wind you, and us, up. Whose side are you on? There is zero indication Kane is going anywhere, so stop giving this drivel any credence.

Also, you've completely mischaracterised this club - in exactly the way a, say, Arsenal fan would. We have already achieved second with Kane, so how can our peak be fourth? Fourth is not the aim, first is and trophies. That much is clear.

To summarise, what is wrong is that everything you've said is inaccurate and jumping on a bandwagon driven by people who hate us and want Kane to leave. Support your club and don't be so gullible.

First of all I don't care what you think, second people are discussing the possibility of Kane staying or going which is what I am doing.
Also I am aware we finished 2nd a wonderful achievement not sure how you can claim our aim is first and trophies when we see little sign of it.
So to summarise I will add to the conversation as and when I see fit like others are doing, if it isn't what you want to hear stick
me on ignore simple buddy.

By everything the club and players have said. Repeatedly, for years.

Conversely, how are you able to claim our aim isn't to finish first? And do you realise how stupid that sounds? Of course our aim is to finish first, the club is doing everything it can to win titles, but it doesn't just happen because you desire it. It takes years of building and getting decisions right. You do realise that, right?

Agreed. But then what will make our mind up on agreeing to sell for a price less than reflective of his value to us as a top 3 player in world football, in his prime, with 3 years to run on his deal? Or do you think someone will pay what we’d ask? If so, what makes you think that when weighing up the other forwards who’d be available at similar amounts and the clubs with that kind of money who he’d want to go to? Interested (genuinely) to hear what you think as so far that question remains unanswered.

Well I don't think kane will want to leave the PL. hes got a young family and has his heart set on breaking shearers record so either the PL clubs interested put in the bid we want or he will be forced to stay. Levy wont be messing around.

I think most clubs in europe will be trying to lure haaland away from dortmund before 2022 when his release clause kicks in.

Sky want clickbait and stories - you don't get that with measured debate and analysis - you get that with reactionary views and headlines. That's the game.

Best to keep it on topic reference Kane and what will he do, of course everyone spurs related wants him to stay why wouldn't they.
But we have to get real and understand that this club is not currently in a position to perhaps give him what he wants, so if he has doubts I really don't blame him age is not on his side.
If he goes then from a personal POV I fully understand it he can't wait around for a decade to see what might or might not happen.

I deleted the Sky score app a few days ago.
Just had enough of the bullshit.
I looked at Spurs team news. There was a video link 'Kane open to a move.'
I though oh fk. Watched it.
It was a fuckin journo saying basically he wouldn't be surprised if he wanted a move but he might not!!!
Really????
Nah, fk off.
Its just utter shite. Sick of the whole circus to be honest. Sky, BT, Talksport. Uefa trying to fix the big boys permanently into CL regardless of how they do.
The whole show stinks.

But wasn't that what the FFP was all about preserve the status of the big clubs so that no upstarts could come along and challenge them.
The big clubs along with UEFA want the status quo to remain the way it has been for a long time.

If City pay £150-200m I think there's a deal to be done ...
The messed up part is that it’s a Euro summer, Kane will the captaining the national team and the entire news cycle in England will contain stories around him. Imagine England making a deep run, that’s up to 2 months of speculation with absolutely no confirmation, along with all the other dominoes falling in Europe. Would be pure madness, because I’m certain City would not even put out an offer until they got confirmation Kane was willing and even pushing to join. Mind games and planted stories galore.

I suppose City could just spunk it all on Haaland day 1 and be done with it. I just don’t see it happening that way, I foresee headaches all year.
