Is it right, no. Do fans want it, probably not. But at least invited to the party, 10 years ago we’d be a forgotten club. Doubt it’ll happen and it’ll just force uefa to reform CL.
I would however say this. I cannot get an away ticket for love nor money anymore. Maybe lucky to be offered a limited view at Turfmoor on a Monday night. Would I prefer to pay a few hundred quid once a season to watch Spurs play in Turin, Paris or Barca...yes

We need to keep the Americans sweet, we have an American football field that needs the games.

Neville going on about the local supporters of Manchester United having the game ripped from them. Maybe if the fans stop going the locals will be able to see them live.

They are going on as if the clubs are up routing and moving away. They will still be there just possibly in another competition. And over time if it goes ahead it will evolve to have Super League 2 etc.

Club need to come out and publicly withdraw interest in this, sharpish. We're just one embarrassment after another this season, would be nice if we showed some integrity at least.

Wonder how Many of the fans would speak out about this and if that will have any effect on the decision or if as usual money talks zzz

But he is right though as far as other big clubs and the media go we are a total irelevance because we don't win anything simple.
It's great having a wonderful stadium and training ground plus all the sponsors you want but when it matters this club doesn't deliver.

In what world is Spurs joining a league which Florentino Perez is the chairman of even mildly tolerable. Absolute disgrace, pure greed and corruption, and--like others have posted--the end for me.

I’m in the “let’s see” camp. For now it’s all press releases. Me thinks it’s a ploy to force more changes before tomorrow UEFA meeting.

I read it was just us, manure, liverscum, arsenal and chelscum... even the title is four clubs and us - I guess it only came out later and missed it
No you’re right, they’ve not signed up ‘yet’

Oh come on, the whole world of football is absolutely riddled with corruption and greed. None more so than the likes of PSG for instance who lots of posters on this forum alone are wanking themselves into a stupor at the mere thought that they could win the UCL. Its here and here to stay. This notion of pure roots football is for the birds.

As fans of the club, would we prefer to watch the team get (mostly) beaten on a weekly basis by the other bigger SL clubs or would we prefer to be in a position to win more games staying in the PL (as a non-SL club)?

The novelty of the new league and playing regularly against the big clubs will wear off pretty soon if we keep getting beat most of the time.

Still hard to know how serious they are about breaking away:

- Put out a story to put pressure on UEFA
- Get everyone in a massive, angry flap
- Take the insults because there’s huge money at stake
- Come to a new CL agreement and put the super league back in the cupboard again till leverage is needed next time.
- Repeat

As I’ve said I’m not that keen on this. But is it that much different from when the premier league broke away from the EFL?
