Think benching Bale makes perfect sense. You need someone who will track the runs of the city boys or you get butchered.

Winks for Tanguy is worrying though. Sure Tanguy has been dodgy recently but he would've played out of his skin knowing the world was watching in a game like this.

Feeling less confident now.

I don’t rate winks at all, but I can actually understand Masons thinking in switching him with Tanguy to start.

I would have started Ndombele ahead of Lo Celso. I understand putting winks in along with Holjberg as I don't think the 3 that started wed night although better players work as a 3.

You should still start your best players in a final imo

We did that in the Champions League final and played an unfit Kane rather than an in form Moura.

I think 'best' is subjective and whilst I'm not massively in love with this selection, this could be the 'best' team to deal with Man City today.

This annoys me, he gets paid very fucking well, play well every fucking game.

Bale has to start for me, look at what he did to Liverpool in the CL final. Disappointed, at least hopefully he can make an impact coming off the bench.

Fuck being cautious, think our only hope is going toe to toe with them

I ain't got nothing against the line-up.
Ndom doesn't deserve a start IMO.
We only like Bale and have fond memories of him but he aint the same - but a great player coming off the bench in the last 30 mins or so as we see how this pans out.
