It’s one of those situations where it’s great to know we are interested but let’s just all wait and see what happened as Inter are a house of cards and someone has pulled out one from the bottom

Who would you compare him to? I’ve never seen him play but he sounds like the exact type of player we need
Similar to his countryman Aguero in a lot of ways (bit like Tevez, Romario even) fast, tenacious, hard-working, decent dribbling, maybe needs to work on his clinical prowess in front of goal as he tends to miss a few, but Messi loves playing with him which is good enough for him. Nicknamed 'el toro' the bull which sums up well, holds the ball and line well, with great physical power like Batistuta a perfect link-up striker (not conventional number 9, his very versatile ) who thrives in close quarters and suited to Nunos high press game, who can only improve

One of the weirdest and shortest transfer sagas of all time. If Gary Jacob, Ally G all got info that we agreed a deal a few days ago, what would be the point in letting them still report it? Seems to be no benefit at all

To let us know we do have more money to spend only to rile us when we never hear about this 60 mill that was available ever again

I just cant see Inter selling both Lukaku and Martinez, and lets not forget they sold Hakimi for a tidy sum - was it 50-60m? unless they really do need 220m from sales and not buying anyone ...

Cant see it.
Their owners already shut down their other team Jiangsu FC (the champions in China) due to massive financial losses and debt. With the rumoured 700 million debt I would not be surprised if they sold everyone they could and replaced them with cheaper alternatives such as Dzeko. Their fans though will tear them apart.

Unless it’s a “but, we tried” scenario ahead of selling Kane.

I'm genuinely not just saying this because it looks like he won't be coming, but how the fuck would we even fit Lautaro, Son and Kane/new "hold up striker" into the side?

Great player but I really struggle to see a balanced team with those 3 in it, not to mention a wide forward like Lucas, Gil or Bergwijn.

Latest agent comments are that he won't fight Inter to leave and is happy. Problem is, they need to sell so he wouldn't be fighting.

And that agent comment is just smart move anyway if it ever gets to the stage to negotiate terms with a new club. Not getting my hopes though.

Well at least we had something to do an hour before the goon game. Went quick at least

Sounds like Inter desperately getting Romano and Di Marzio to put out the fire. Think its all just about timing for them when they feel is right to sell martinez

yep you would think with his contract situation if he wont sign a new deal then inter will want to sell as his value halves next season.

Lautauro’s agent saying he’d never fight Inter to leave and is happy, BUT, that would also mean if Inter need the cash and ask him to go, he wouldn’t fight either i suppose. ??

Maybe the interest was real, maybe it is/was close, but surely it can only happen so many times that the same club agrees a deal with a big name player before (always through no fault of their own) it falls apart.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but this feels like a PR exercise. Maybe it was to force another club to engage in talks for a different target, maybe it was to distract from all the Kane talk, maybe it was none of these things.

It'd be nice for one of these signings to actually transpire and work out for once though.
