When we swapped Gil for Lamela, we replaced Coco's trickery, but not necessarily his potential for winding up the opposition's players and fans. Lautaro, as a fellow Argentine, could, IMO, help fill this gap.

I don't have overly much evidence of this, but, not only does Lautaro have form for cupping his ear to indicate how his goal has silenced the home crowd, he's so up for a bit of shithousing that he'll even do it when there are no fans in the stadium. Now that's commitment.

This is nonsense isn't it? I know they're in financial strife but surely they could match our wages?
Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that he's only on £45k a week or some other relatively low figure or did I imagine that? I suspect Inter couldn't/wouldn't offer anywhere near the wages we could right now - especially if we'd be shifting Kane off the wage bill.

OK then, well this is excellent - I'm all for a mercenary when it works in our favour...it's when it's the other way that they're money grabbing *****.

Go Lautaro!
I'm being pretty presumptuous though. If they did try and match let's say 200k; they would be massively pushing their financial constraints. Oh and not to mention missing out on the 80m euros that'd be coming in if Spurs bought him. And the 5-6m wages per year.

Anyone find the original link? I skimmed the fcinternewsit site but didn't see anything "?NEW"
The only thing I can find is an editorial piece about his new contract and inter willing to double it but that's not enough. It then goes on to say that further efforts will need to be made to reject the efforts of atletico madrid and spurs.

But even for an aggregator that is a huge leap to twist it into that.

There is another article on him that says the following

"Lautaro Martinez made a surprise morning visit to the Humanitas Clinic in Rozzano. The Argentine, when asked directly by some fans who were waiting for Denzel Dumfries, explained that everything is fine with the thumbs up gesture. His visit lasted about 15 minutes, maybe less, enough to nip in the bud any possible fears about his condition."

Injured, or squeezing in a cheeky medical? :playful:

Last published accounts for Inter was a turnover of £250 million compared to our £400 million.
We can blow them out of the water on wages if we want.

Brilliant another mercenary like Kane ?
But he’s the right type of mercenary i.e. one trying to engineer a move to us = good mercenary whereas one trying to engineer a move away from Spurs = bad mercenary. Just gotta know your mercenaries see!

Thank you. That is about all I could find. Another reason why everyone would be better off binning aggregators entirely.
