must of been one of the worst performances to get a win, but I will take it

Glad for the result, and happy to see Kane play again. As for the rest well it's all pretty predictable and mediocre as per usual, strange substitutions, some dier (see what I did there) playing out from the back and giving the ball away in possession far, far too easily. We've been doing this for a long time and I don't see much improvement even after three managers.

80% of the match we are poor, it's only in those few moments where we get or make some luck often the former, that we somehow turn a game from an embarrassment into a result.

Not sure what a lot of our players are good at aside from the obvious, missing so much craft, quality and some basics. Who is our long-range passer? Who can whip in a decent cross? Who can strike from distance? Who can speed past a defender? Who can see a through ball and execute it? Who can read the game and make the right decision? Who is a leader? Some basic attributes that I feel like any decent side should have but we have so much 'meh' in our team right now, and so much 'potential' that isn't flourishing.

I know Wolves were at it and well up for it, but we need to be proactive in the games, we can't always be on the back foot and relying on the opposition to dictate the game. We're too frantic, too reactive and as a result, make too many mistakes.

Performance doesn’t matter to much yet. To get a result away from Home from our first away game is fantastic. There have been few away results so far from the first two weekends round of fixtures so to pick up three points is great. Of and running home and away.

Wolves would always be up for this and I expected a difficult game. Always a tough place to go and they seem a little rejuvenated this season so far. Probably could have got points out of both games.

Thought we looked so much better when he came on for Moura. Team looked much better balanced, not sure what you were expecting.
I guess I'm expecting some star quality, which I haven't seen yet.

Its not a dig and perhaps he's not that sort of player but we need a bit of a spark in midfield I think.

No signs of any footballing changes as of yet. Not that I was expecting any. (not so much a comment on Nuno's style as much a players we have comment)

Hopefully we'll see some green shoots regarding the football we play in the coming weeks...

Wolves had the most possession but that's all. 6 shots on target and that was the same amount as us. They had no goals disallowed so we didn't get lucky there. Nor did we have any VAR decisions unfairly go our way. They didn't hit the bar nor post. Yes Traore could have scored that 1v1 but he either wasn't good enough to finish it or our keeper was fantastic in saving it. So we were not lucky not even in the slightest, we can't say we were because Wolves couldn't finish. Thats something other than luck. I don't think we were the better team but similarly id say Wolves didn't stand out as the better team either based on nothing else but superior possession.
They battered us. What game was you watching. ?

Im getting a bit tired of this now. They had more possession AND THATS IT! Same amount of shots on target. If that's a battering in your books then we'll agree to disagree and move on eh.

Good win. Had to soak up more than we’d like but the fact we didn’t concede feels like a difference to last season.

Desperately need a different front three setup, Moura, Bergwijn and Son just doesn’t work that well. All willing runners and produce flashes of individual brilliance, but they all share the same weaknesses. Mainly the inability to keep hold of the ball with sure footed touches. It leads to us continually coughing up possession cheaply.
Really? It seems exactly the same as last season to me. We were terrible in any kind of possession. Which to be fair we didn’t have any possession. It was for me one of the worst games to watch.

Did you not read any during Joseball lol trust me this is nothing.

Be honest I didn't, I couldn't watch today so thought I'd get updates in here. Big mistake. Things I witnessed.

Skipp is so good .... Skipp is awful
Dele has been our best player .... Dele off asap
Lo Celso needs to come on ..... Lo Celso is done here

Etc etc

It's less stressful actually watching.

If we start playing like we did today consistently but the results go from narrow wins to narrow defeats, the knives will be out for Nuno.

I was hoping we would see a different style of football, but it seems Jose ball counter attacking again.

For me, performances more than results, are what I look to for evidence of improvement and being able to see some success and hopefully trophies.

I think today posed more questions than answers. Against a better team with a finisher we'd have got thumped.

We look more organised and work harder than we did under Jose, but there is so much lack of quality across the pitch. The midfield is workman like but has no guile or skill.

It really is a huge week. I can only hope we sign at least 3 players who walk straight into our first team.

They need to be a CM, CB, a RB, a RWF and a back up striker. I know we won't get all of these, but that is what we need.

(Better team) City-we won 1nil. Because we hassle every ball opposition players snatch at shots, over play passes and get fuddled on the ball. This was Italy’s secret in the Euros hassle, hassle , hassle. The counter needs to improve to create more chances.

You're not going to see an immediate totally different style 2 games in with the same players!
Its gonna take time.
Patience.
