Even actors playing comic characters get it. I'm a big Red Dwarf fan and I've watched a lot of behind-the-scenes videos and Chris Barrie has mentioned a number of times that he's been called 'smeghead' by random people in the street. As an aside, it's crazy how actors who play 'bad characters' get grief in real life for it. Lots of them usually have anecdotes about being verbally abused in the street for something that was in a script.
Everyone knows he is just as likely to seek a move next summer unless we qualify for CL. That was true no matter what happened. Him saying this isn't going to magically add 100mil to our budget this summer. Especially with only one week left in the window.this to me, is an ultimatum - show me your serious this summer ( ins) if not ill kicck off again january.
What a tool!
Not until I've gone back through the thread to find all those repeatedly saying he was 100% going, and anyone that didn't agree was in denial etc. Once we've publicly named and shamed the woe is me brigade, then we can draw a line.So he's staying. Draw a line and all that.
teamMust be a ticket selling promotion, tomorrow Harry probably now plays against Pacos to gain more fitness so a few more thousand tickets are sold
I live in Australia, but I honestly believe most of the media hate Spurs for some reason. I personally don't get it.Sky Narrative now - He was never worth 100m, he is 28 and on the way down.
forgetting....
Hazard - £100m brilliant business
Lukaku same age - £100 - worth every penny and bought cheap.
lewandowski £100m for a 33 year old..... big teams on alert.
Do they really like Harry?
50% chance of guessing. Not until I've gone back through the thread to find all those repeatedly saying he was 100% going, and anyone that didn't agree was in denial etc. Once we've publicly named and shamed the woe is me brigade, then we can draw a line.
*Disclaimer I'm not really going to do that but for future reference.... Until it's done, IT ISN'T DONE!
Of course it's not up to him. But from the wording of that statement, I think he goes in January because Spurs and City have struck a deal, but it can't be completed now because it's so late in the window (we need time to get replacements, and so will the selling club, and so on).Have you still not worked out that it isn't up to him?
Don't think you're saying anything here we don't know pal; there's obviously a limited extent to which football "really" matters, but there's no need to look down on people for caring about something you apparently deem trivial (but still important enough to make an account here).
Over on Blue Moon, they're now worried everyone will know for desperate they are for a striker, and they think they'll get really over charged for whoever they end up getting.
The Friday deadline could have been right. City still put in a post-deadline bid but it was too little, too late so rejected out of hand.Whoever it was on these threads this morning asking what happened to all the supposed deadlines? Looks like we just passed one.
You welcome, guysNot quite.
I made SC in 2002. Before it, there was a "tottenham community" that I was admin on along with a guy from Sweden (I don't know if he's still around but he has/had an account on here, @ERO was involved somehow too ) that we hosted on some free software/hosting. That lasted maybe a year but it grew too big and we couldn't use it any more.
The original SC (in 2002) was on some content management system that had a forum attached to it but it wasn't great. We actually had a massive server crash and lost a lot of it so we started from scratch in June 2003 using proper forum software (vbulletin). That's why a lot of the older members on here all have the same registration date (June 2003). We switched over to Xenforo as the forum software a while back as Vbulletin had gotten rubbish and that's what we're still on today.
p.s. alt.sports.spurs was probably the first tottenham "forum" I used
“this summer”
You compared it to Eastenders and called Harry a "character". He isn't a character. He is a human being driven by his own personal goals. You're right people shouldn't be so serious, but it's not just to entertain people. Footballers, coaches, admin staff all earn wages from it. It's more than just entertainment for us mere mortal folk. These players want to win things, they want to make money to ensure family futures. It was once solely to entertain the people, but not anymore. Not saying its scripted but it is only in existence to entertain - there is literally nothing real riding on the outcome other than to provide a group of people some entertainment. What exactly does a script have to do with anything?
