Doubt this. Seems like the Spanish reporters are much more keyed in on these Barca deals and are not reporting this.
Why would you doubt this? We can be almost sure, based on our past deals and rumours, that we would have made the offer. Worth a pop etc, even if leads to nothing.

That’s actually surprising having watched him in person. But I think that’s more to do with his footwork and acceleration getting up to top speed. Clearly he’s rapid once he gets going.

Maybe that was earlier in the window when they could afford to put up resistance.
Perhaps as time has gone on yhey have realised that their situation is weaker and they could still do with a few off the books.

If they wanted to keep him we wouldn't be having a discussion with them, we've obviously got the message from them.
Seems to be a few comments that they may want Bellerín to replace him…

He is a proper pacey player, quite skillful love a trick or two, has some showmanship about him for sure. Very explosive down the right and quite strong when in full flight not easily knocked over, very good acceleration two, seems to cross well in videos but that a selection of good ones of course so cant confirm if theres many wayward or bad crosses (maybe someone that seen him regular can confirm?). He sort of reminds me of maybe a slight more pacier ricardo pereira from the leicester chavs. Videos show more of him bombing forward and quite well at that so defending wise not sure but defo someone that would be exciting as WB on the right especially going forward.
In the last two season in La Liga he has more goals and assists than Luke Shaw / Walker / Cancelo (in the last 3 seasons, not combined with all 3 players) - PS i added cancelo as walker sometimes player in a 3 at the back

He looks exciting, explosive, skillfull, very attack minded / oriented, great on a fast break and pressing, i havent seen enough from a defensive point as nearly all his videos are 90% of him attacking/going forward, anyone that can add in terms of his defensive ability would be useful to know

You'd like to think, right? No point in pursuing a player if the team they play for is adamant they're not for sale... at any price. So, who knows? Maybe something's shifted or maybe it's a wild goose chase.
I mean, I am super surprised they wouldn't want to hand over their RB, in return for Aurier and N'Dombele on loan! (He said, in wishful thinking mode!!).
As for Romano... he's got some stuff right this window, and has got a few things later than others. Can't think of many times he has outright broken the news of a transfer story this summer. At least not for Spurs. He seems to piggy-back on what others are saying to confirm or deny if the story is true.
