Bummer about Traore - think that’s a really important addition. Also have the fear that we can’t make Diaz work, neglect the Traore deal (granted, this could have been screwed by Mendes and be out of our control) and end up with neither.

That would be an ideally perfect window, probably too perfect to be true. I think if we shipped any of Ndombele, Dele, Lo Celso out it shouldn't be overlooked as it continues the clear out that we've successfully done over the Summer.
Diaz would be up there with signing of the window. Amrabat Conte apparently wants, and Traore is PL proven with a high upside (no risk on the fee).

I understand the urge to prioritse Diaz over Traore, who has never played the role we are buying him for.... yes I know, victor bloody moses yadayadayada... but even if it works it's going to take some time for him to adjust.
I am sure we still want both, but Traore is going to have to be a cunning loan deal and the budget goes to Diaz.
