Thing is, Liverpool seriously need to start succession planning for Salah, Mane and Firmino. They're all getting older, Salah might not sign a new deal and Mane's form seems to be getting worse every year.

So far they've brought in Jota, who is great, but bringing in the likes of Diaz makes perfect sense at this point. Initially he rotates with Mane/Jota, but after a year or two he's the main man on the left side and allows them to move on Mane while he still has a bit of value or his contract runs out.

Yep, and now also selling Minamino who hasn't cut it and Origi.

They are such a well run club, even with their outgoings.

They don't hang on to players too long if they don't make the grade. Although Origi has actually been an amazing super sub for them. All you can ask for from a back up striker.

And yet a large portion of their fans want FSG gone - sums up how fickle the fan base is atm

Its embarrassing the way their fans have gone after FSG.

They are much better ran than ourselves.

They've signed Jota, Thiago, Konate and now Diaz with some youth coming through too.

They got to the position they are in by making smart decisions and nailing down their place at the top.

I'm disappointed, and was disappointed by Traore.

Not expecting much. Anything we get is a bonus...although the state of our squad has been allowed deteriorate.

I guess there's fuck all left to discuss until we look like signing someone.

Mate they are an incredibly entitled spoilt fan base. One of the worst around. If they spent a day in our shoes and see how it really is, or even their neighbours Everton.

Their owners have been incredible for them. Not perfect but who is?

What more do they want? Probably an oil sheikh.

Spurs fans on the other hand, how long suffering do we have it. We have every right to be cheesed off with certain things.

I thought that we weren't going to mention cheese again.

We should have just paid more from the off just like Eveton when they signed Hojbjerg. I'm sure the agent would have kept it quiet so Liverpool don't find out and match us. Fuck sake Levy!

It’s looking remarkably poor for the club as Conte has recently been mumbling on about the squad being weak. The club can’t sit around, they need at least a single statement signing imo

Really. Wonder what a Derby county fan(for example) would think reading this statement.

Well yeah it's all relative. Wanting FSG out after CL and PL title though? It's ridiculous. I mean they literally reached the top of club football.

Why isn't this line trotted out for our how we are run?

Liverpool's owners have tighter wallets, and don't have a modern stadium. They've only just moved training ground.

Apart from luck, what do their owners do that makes them so superior?

The worst thing is it shows how far we are from the big clubs.

Liverpool will field an attack in the league cup next season of Dias Jota and Firmino and rest Salah and Mane

Whilst we either run Son and Kane into the ground every week or play Dane Scarlett upfront.

It’s just levels. The reason it’s got to this is because of Levy / ENIC. Don’t get bogged down on just one player like Dias.

It’s a systematic failure of poor planning, poor recruitment, no ambition, failing to strengthen from a position of strength.

for once, I am finding it difficult to disagree with this.

They gamble with their money more and it’s paid off. We are stable but have stagnated a bit. It’s probably about time the club puts its balls on the table and takes a chance at things. Audere est facile, hope the club looks to it’s own motto in the coming days.
