To conclude, if Sanchez proves me wrong, I'll be the first to come in here, hold my hands up and apologise to you. If he becomes a solid fixture in our defence, I'll 100% hold my hands up.
Although I still feel he has to do it for a prolonged period of time, Sanchez has been much improved under Conte and no longer sticks out as a huge weakness at the back. He dealt with Lukaku well last night and has reduced the # of mistakes he makes.
Again, I still feel he needs to take it up another level to not be moved on in the Summer, but he's certainly been much better than when I argued the quoted point a few months back.
Let's hope he can continue on this current trajectory and fulfill some of that potential.

Believe it or not Romero is NOT in the Argentina squad for their next game at the end of the month. Lo Celso is in the squad.

we already knew that. They said they weren't calling him up. Hopefully just because lo celso is in the squad he wont play so much due to them apparently giving fringe players a chance.

only real blip was his slip when Maupay was played through. It’s just the moments of different class constantly reading the game and stepping in to intercept and win the ball ahead of the opponents. Loved the little fake clearance and pinpoint ball into Kane near the corner flag before he came off.

I shit myself when I saw him go down. Really happy it was only cramp.
This does give us a slight dilemma as tbh, he and Dier are both really suited to the CCB position but not so much the RCB. I would like to see Dier on the side, simply because as a former midfielder I think he'd give more to the side out there than Sanchez.

Excellent performance tonight. He was so dominant it allowed our other defenders to have the confidence to go forward a lot more than they normally do.

Romero is going to be one of the best defenders in the Premier League... he has everything. No doubt... he's both classy and ruthless. Winner !

What a player this guy is. So positive. Really enjoyable to watch.
Paratici has been getting a lot of stick since he joined but this lad is an unbelievable signing.
