My son plays in central defence for his U12 team. I made sure he didn’t take his eye off Romero the entire game.

He must of been gutted he didn’t see any of the goals then

He also slipped being far too aggressive to try and win the ball early which resulted in a guilt edged chance for Moupay

Romeros positives will far outway the negatives and that is what you want but when his over enthusiasm etc results in a mistake and goal for the oppo the knives will be well and truly out, in here….

He is still only 23 and relatively inexperienced one as well.

He’s a player, no doubt and as you say with time on his side. When he settles down and learns when not to dive in etc he could become an exceptional CD

Davies is an automatic choice too. Imagine if we had a player as good as Ben, oh yeah we do.

at the moment, for sure, and Ben Davies is mr reliable personified.

But we should and can look for someone good enough to either rotate with or displace Davies

Davies is performing really well though. I think Dier in the centre is the one we could really improve on the most even though he's played well this season. If we could find a central player in the three who pasess creatively and has some real pace, the whole defence could push up more and we could compress the pitch and make pressing easier in midfield.

Problem is with this boy he will make mistakes he will get sent off and he will dive in, but our fans have to accept that his style!

Yes...he played there for Atalanta

Tbh I wouldn't move him from his best position to accommodate the likes of Dier or Sanchez...even though they have both improved.
You play your best players in there best position unless there is a massive injury crisis and you have no choice

Our spine should be Hugo,Romero,Rodrigo,Kane....and build the team round them.

Exciting times ahead, you can really see what Conte is doing,and with a summer window to come, I have a good good feeling about next season.
