He must of been gutted he didn’t see any of the goals thenMy son plays in central defence for his U12 team. I made sure he didn’t take his eye off Romero the entire game.

He is still only 23 and relatively inexperienced one as well.I really really like him but it was Romero that followed Bissouma half way round the pitch, didn’t get a challenge in and allowed him to shoot, for his (heavily deflected) goal!!
He also slipped being far too aggressive to try and win the ball early which resulted in a guilt edged chance for Moupay
Remeros positives will far outway the negatives and that is what you want but when his over enthusiasm etc results in a mistake and goal for the oppo the knives will be well and truly out, in here….
He’s a player, no doubt and as you say with time on his side. When he settles down and learns when not to dive in etc he could become an exceptional CDHe is still only 23 and relatively inexperienced one as well.
But then, If Romero is fit, he starts. If he starts, we will win more games than if he doesnt.
Davies is an automatic choice too. Imagine if we had a player as good as Ben, oh yeah we do.Class above.
Good reading and anticipation, aggressive, hard to beat, composed, can pass, can drive forwards.
Imagine if we have another player of such ilk at LCB
Right now, Dier n Romero are the 2 auto starters in the back 3

Davies is performing really well though. I think Dier in the centre is the one we could really improve on the most even though he's played well this season. If we could find a central player in the three who pasess creatively and has some real pace, the whole defence could push up more and we could compress the pitch and make pressing easier in midfield.Imagine another top class left side defender alongside
That was his usual position for Atalanta wasn’t it?Has to play centrally of a back 3 for me, he is vital there, reads the game, intelligence, mobile and mops up everything from the central position...it's no coincidence he had his best game by far playing there....

What does that mean for Dier/Sanchez I wonder?
Guilty as chargedYeah. He's quite good. People forgot just how good he was when he was out.
