It is just us who don’t understand Conte. He hasn’t changed because of Tottenham. He always acts like this even he had full support in Inter Milan. We should have the mental preparation when we hired him from day 1 (and our situation is even worse than inter)

This is going to get ugly real quick. Especially if the players have stopped playing for him and we get trounced this weekend. We could be without a manager before the season even ends. Cant see levy putting up with those comments if results don’t start going our way.

Without seeing the transcript, he pretty said much of this in the brighton prematch presser.
If anything he has toned down his views, now calling the loaned out players important, rather than mistakes. That was a terrible thing to say and that would not have gone down well in the club.
Before the window he said he wanted more players/options rather than world beaters so him perhaps clarifying that he called the window strange, as he has instead lost options, is not so surprising.

The only thing that is inconsistent is, as others have said, he said the squad was more complete now. He was quite upbeat about this before, so if he is really putting the boot into Levy in this latest interview, he needs to explain what has changed, other than 2 humiliating defeats...
Maybe he meant it will be more complete once the signings have settled in?

That’s kind of my point, change or another manager is gone. If he goes due to not being backed, I think I might just give up on us ever really winning anything
Looking at how we operate and the latest window suggest we have given up anyway.
There was a suggestion that the club was getting ready to go for it in the summer, but do we honestly look and act like a team who wants to go.
We probably need six incomings but will end up with three but club will have moved more out to save on wages.
It's got all the hallmarks of the usual rinse and repeat cycle so I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for anything substantial to happen where this team is concerned.

He is saying four left but four should have come in and he is right left ourselves understrength again.
Three players who he didn't select to play plus a bit part player. We may be down in numbers but not in players he selects to actually play.

Then if he is complaint about numbers why let four go and bring less in?
I personally thought the transfer window was poor in terms of recruitment yes let people leave if you don't want them but at least have people lined up to replace them FFS.
It could also be that he is getting the excuses in early for the two shit results by trying to get the fanbase to do expect much which we don't anyway.
If he is genuinely fucked off then I think we are heading for trouble with him unlikely to be here beyond the summer if true of course.

Annoyed Conte says 4 important players left as it was 4 players he refused to use. No problem not using them and forcing them out, just don’t moan about it in the press.

I think this is about him trying to put more pressure on Levy and Paratici to commit right now to experienced players on free transfers. Those players (Kessie, Borozvic, Dybala, Romagnoli, etc.) will find their new clubs way before 1st July even if not announced until then, and the negotiations with interested clubs is happening now (see Sule to Dortmund). And they will cost big money in signing on bonus and wages, a big investment in players who will have no or little sell on value. Our club is at a cross roads, back the elite manager or go back to the same plan - gamble on young potential and hope we repeat the Poch era.

Well if you constantly heard after a game that you are a weak player in a weak squad, it will affect you no matter ho professional you are.

I said when the window shut we are now weaker, so many people in here gave wtf and dislikes not even thinkong of that just in numbers you are much weaker in terms of injuries, how can anyone not agree on that.

Anyway, this will most likely end in tears for Spurs fans and as said many times before, if we fall behind now that Newcastle, Villa, Leicester, West Ham start using a lot of money. we will be a regular top 10 club

A big stadium will not save anything if it is constantly 70% full due to mediocrity.

Yeah negative, but nothing i have heard from Conte the last months have filled me with any confidence at all, " it will take a long time and we need patience" says the manager with 1 year left on the contract.........................................

Totally agree and I am very disappointed that we haven't already tied up at least a couple of these players. I am really beginning to wonder what Practici does all day.

? Levy would have sold him the dream around transfers. A vast majority of fans actually thought we would sign Diaz this Janurary. Before that it was Dybala or Countinhio. Levy has no intention of buying top quality players, however makes it look like Spurs are in market for big players, that we are competing with major clubs for such players. We tried, did you see sky sports we tried to sign Diaz, we tried to sign Dybala, we tried to sign Couthinio, we tried to sign Grealish, we tried to sign Mane, we tried to sign Morientes, we tried to sign Zaha, we tried to sign Mounthino, we tried to sign Suarez, we tried to sign Hazard. 100% if no other club had come for Diaz this janurary, Spurs still wouldn't have signed him. It's a total sharade into which managers and fans have been falling for year on year.
No other clubs try and fail to sign players. None. Not one.

Or. All of them.

Tin Hat . Com in here at the moment.

Conte is known for moaning about the board in the media. He's literally done it at ALL of his jobs. Doesn't necessarily mean he's thinking of leaving. He's just very demanding. I'm not really concerned.
Youre right.

He's also known for walking out of jobs.

Which ever way it can be painted, we should hold a little concern.

I said this would happen...

He won't be here in 18 months because he never last more than two seasons in one place.

I've refrained from giving my onions on Conte, because the positivity is good to see. But the man is a lunatic. He needs instant success and if he doesn't get it he becomes the biggest **** you can imagine.

I hope I'm completely wrong, but I think this is a car crash waiting to happen. I gave Jose 18 months, and I'll be astonished if Conte hangs around that long.

Apologies for the negative vibes.

I’m probably not the only one but I’ve been losing Interest following this club lately. We have fallen so far behind the pack when less than 3 years ago we was in the mix. Going two windows without any transfer activity is a crime in itself. As long as levy and Enic are at Spurs they will suck the soul out of the club completely. The Conte appointment gave me a bit of a lift, but now even that is starting to go sour. Conte tells the truth and sadly as the saying goes a leopard never changes it’s spots. Levy and co won’t change even with a world class manager in charge.

Think I'll hold on to the thought that next season is meant to be when Conte is expecting to get us truly competitive.

Big summer window coming up, I think after this, Conte will truly assess whether he believes we are serious about giving him a fair crack at achievement, currently I think it's posturing, to be fair, the guy is a serial winner.

If they stop playing for him they might aswell pack up and go home getting sick to the back teeth of these players.
