Agreed but I could also imagine Eriksen being especially cagey at an official Brentford event.

I have a feeling that Eriksen hasn't fully decided on his future yet anyway.

Got a feeling we will know in the next ten days either way

Dont think this is happening. Know someone who interviewed him recently. Asked him off camera on the sly when neither had a mic etc about him returning to spurs and as mate is a massive spurs fan said he'd be ecstatic. The response was you are likely to be disappointed. Now this could just be eriksen keeping quiet as it was a Brentford event. Or could be we are not even in for me. Mates opinion was its not happening though
Thanks for sharing but I don't think Erisken would tell anyone his plans on or off camera, he would wait for it to be finalised and announced. Not saying that means he will 100% be coming to Spurs but also don't think that by him not telling an interviewer off camera that he's going to Spurs doesn't mean he wouldn't be.

Most things point towards him coming tbh, he knows the club, he knows the manager, CL football and he's said he wants to still play at the highest level and his family are already in England and he can't play in certain other countries anyway.

If we want him and Conte wants him then I think its a no-brainer all-round.

Think someone said they wouldn’t blame him if he took the option of buying a house in Richmond and staying with Brentford.

Believe he was looking around schools for the kids in Brentford. Think he’s staying there.
That makes sense, although to be fair I believe his eldest just turned 4 so he has to look for schools regardless and Richmond has some of the best schools in the country

If he does stay at Brentford he should be applauded. As much as I'd love him back, they took a chance on him and if he decides show loyalty and stay with them despite 'better' offers I'd think very highly of him.

Your mate Michael Bridge then?

Doesn’t really say one way or the other definitely and as others said, doubt he would be saying he is leaving at a Brentford Q&A event.
Illustrates perfectly why he’d be daft to give anything away ‘off camera’!

If he does stay at Brentford that likely means we haven’t offered him anything. No way he stays there if we come in for him

Disagree, Brentford has a large Danish contingent, they were the team that went for him when few else did and he's a hero there.

He'll get to play almost every single game being as sharp as possible for the world cup.

Just seen on the SSN feed that Real Madrid aren’t renewing Isco’s contract.

Just thinking out loud whether this is something we might be interested in …

He’s barely kicked a ball the last few seasons… he would need to come with a lifetime supply of WD40 lol

wouldn’t blame him for staying. he’ll be a hero there, maybe he’ll even get a statue!

it’s a bit of a football romantic story - small club takes chance on world class international footballer after tragic incident and he falls in love with it there.

He wants CL football so agree to disagree there. You don’t stay at Brentford when there is the potential to work with Conte and be part of something special.

His actual words were, "I would love to play Champions League football again. I know how much fun it is, but it isn't essential for me."
Being sure of playing regularly, in the run up to the world cup, may be a higher priority this coming season.

It isn’t the worst commute to the training ground, out on the M3 and around the M25 but it isn’t the quickest either. If he’s bought there then I assume he is staying at brentford. I wonder if he still has his place from when he was with us though. I bet that’s an easier journey to the training ground.
