Cannot say too much, but a very good attacking player that plays anywhere from midfield onwards, is in talks. If it happens would make most of us happy. This will not happen overnight, but aiming to agree all with selling club, who wants to line up replacement. Other clubs interested. But we are at the front. No names ??
This describes Maddison to a T but I have to believe it's someone else as the thread has been dominated by Maddison talk. Wouldn't make sense that Herc would withhold the name in those circumstances.

Who was it that once said a 'painful rebuild' was needed?

As this rebuild feels anything but painful! :ROFLMAO:

Paratici is going to spend most of our transfer budget on roaming charges with all these deals he's working on from Korea

This cannot be real. We have to be dreaming.
I woke up today at 4AM (thunderstorms scaring the sons), 15th of July, three weeks before the season opener
We're about to announce our sixth signing of the summer, one that was annoyingly drawn out.
But it's the 15th of July.

And we're not done. We're leading the pack for a quality player other top teams want.
COYS these are the times of our lives as fans.

Given the business we have done: Bissouma, Richarlison, Spence, in particular, and the nucleus of young players we already have - we should not need another massive transfer window like this for a few years.
Replacing Kane and Son in 2-3 years will be the next big challenge but that will probably be under a new manager.

So we're in talks for Maddison and another option. Wouldn't be surprised if the other option is the foreign top choice (hence us going for Spence) but if we can't bring him in then we go big for Maddison.

We started this window early and it seems we're going to keep right on to the end.
Can't help think Fabio Paratici must be loving his job at the moment.

Could be Paqueta. He would be certainly someone most would be happy with. Other clubs are interested and is flexible positionally.

More a personal thing I guess, and I'm not convinced an out and out AM is what we need.

Perhaps, but it does add more tactical options and another attacking dimension.

Guess that's why we're looking at him given his age and profile.
