Yes but he did that mostly in the 3rd tier of Europe, did barely anything in the league and has huge attitude issues.

No… because deki actually had very good out put in the league before he was played out of position by juve. Deki actually has a very good footballing brain and no issues about his mentality. This kids only skill is his dribbling and even that is done at the detriment of his team like Moura

Some shocking opinions being expressed here. I don't think I have ever seen such negatively about a possible signing. Also the lack of knowledge about this guy is hilarious. Repeatedly being compared to Moura and ignoring the fact that this guy is actually an attacking midfielder who has been asked to play on the RW which probably isn't his best position. Conte obviously rates him. He was one of the biggest prospects in Europe only a few years ago so the potential is huge. Yes the injuries are a concern but he played a full season last year.
This does remind me of the Kulu is crap and too slow thread in which people just jumped on a narrative with obviously no actual knowledge of the player.

anyone who doesn't see he is potential top quality player is utterly deluded (aftv level deluded). I get it you are scared because of his injuries but:
1) it ain't your money spurs are spending
2) he featured in 42 games last year
3) bringing in another "fully fit" top level expensive player won't give you any guarantee he don't get badly injured in the future

- After watching a lot of last season's highlights, his assist numbers should have been higher. There were numerous times he put the ball on a plate to be finished but Abraham et al. completely butchered the shot (some were literally missed tap-ins). Put Harry/Sonny on the end of those passes and the numbers go up. Per 90 stats below support this. Kulu would register an assist for every 3.1 chances he created. Zaniolo would only get an assist for every 14 chances created.

People are worried about his injury record. Fine. But i'm sure any deal will reflect any concerns, if indeed there are any. Then we have people worrying about his attitude. Largely guesswork, for all we know that might have been resolved. Finally, if Conte think he can manage him and by that I mean coach and mentor him in such a way as to maximise his undoubted talent, then why not?
ANY transfer carries a risk. This one maybe a little more so but that's being over dramatised in the fight to be 'right'. Fucking hell, it might not work, it might be a roaring success, if Conte thinks there's a player in there and can get it out of him, if the player will improve the squad, then what's the problem? That it won't work? Given the recent successes they've had have they not earned the right?
If we spend a few quid on him it's a 'risk' that's seen as acceptable by the club. It won't break us. Worry not about the finances, leave that to those who actually know. You'll still get your pocket money at the end of the week

problem is AC some seem to think he has no talent at all…which does strike me as odd, how can a 23 yo play at one of Italys top clubs and be capped by Italy?

Conte believes he has the potential to be one of the very best, he also believes he's been badly mismanaged and used poorly when he's been played. The injuries are a concern and any deal we might do will certainly need to reflect this, and at the moment the financials aren't working. It's all a bit complicated as far as negotiations are concerned. FP is speaking to Roma, and his agent was at HW yesterday. We think there is a deal to be done(and we'd certainly like to) but what that deal will look like I'm not sure. I don't see at this stage Madison happening but I think this one has a better than average chance IMO.

I would prefer Maddison but we don’t know if it’s a choice between the two. It could be we get both who knows…but suggesting that a player who has represented one of the worlds best national teams has no talent is clearly wrong….like imo the sensible ones say, if conte wants him and feels he can work with him then that’s enough for me
