Glad to see that Deki's injury wasn't too bad. When he started the second half, I immediately thought he will be hard to displace in the starting 11 this season. Deki's positioning and ability to hold the ball up, pass, and then move is what we really need from one of the front three.

Early days yet but I just don't see how Kane, Son & Richie are provided with enough chances from a midfield two, which aren't really well known for their creativity. Deki makes that sacrifice in a front three to set up other players.

It will be really interesting to see how the front three chops and changes over the coming months and what partnerships will succeed.

Next to Kane, he's probably the most game intelligent player in the squad. I don't see Richarlison displacing him but the great thing is, Deki loves competition and wants to be the best player he can be and Richarlison works incredibly hard in training and during games, so both will end up pushing each other to reach their highest levels.

Son really is amazing at bringing everyone together... what a massive presence he must be behind the scenes.

Strange thing is even though we have signed a lot of quality players, this is still the guy I want to see more of this season.

Just oozes class, total confidence and so patient in possession. I hate head down players, and this guy is the opposite, always looking around. Superb decision making.

If I were to do a fantasy team, he'd be straight in there, I'd tip him to get a huge number of goals and assists this season.

Talk about potential, he has everything, big, powerful, eye for goal, eye for a pass, workrate.

Feel the same. And just to add… a seemingly great attitude and personality. Happy to take the complete piss out of himself.

Love this guy. Him and Bentancur were outstanding buys and a testament to the new approach of Paratici.
Me and the wife were on holiday in Thailand in early February and taking a mini bus over to Koh Chang (great place by the way - one of the few places not blighted by mass tourism yet) and on the bus was an old Swedish guy who seemed to be football mad.
I didn’t know much about Kulusevski then but after asking who I supported said that we had bought probably the best young player in Sweden, and had done well to get him as he was perfect for the Premier League.
That weekend he exploded in that game away at City when we won 3-2 and we actually bumped into him on the beach a few days after and he said (whilst wagging his finger) “I told you, I told you!”?

One of the main reasons I'd like Maddison (over Zaniolo) is that he too is a 'head up' player, and I think he'd combine really well with Kulusevski. If they were to build a working relationship on the pitch they could be quite spectacular imo.

I'd wait until Octoberish time when the sun's gone down with his skin complexion. Rough out there for the red heads in August.

Kulu is such a brilliant player he can play in all attacking and creative positions at such a young age too...it's frightening .

100% this. This is the kind of players we need to strive for. Not saying this because of hindsight. But we have had far too many generic "athletic" players. We need people with game intelligence.

Essentially love the guy but he’s got to work on his right foot. Sure he did score a very good goal with his right last season.I thought the 2 cut backs today were really poor he had to go on and at least have a go. Hopefully just some early season rust. Apart from that he was great a real handful.

Not many players turn me on when I watch them - our Dembele and Mendieta are two but this guy I do like how when he gets the ball I know he wont lose it and he will do something with it.

His intelligence is great and if we had a CL final tomorrow - he would be in that front three with Kane and Son.

Amazing signing. We're spoilt with our front 3 of Son Kane and Deki
