Terrible analogy. It misses the main point that Poch has proven he can do it in this league whereas TH has not. That may all change of course but I honestly think Poch was a safer bet just like buying established Premier League players is usually a safer bet than buying players from the Dutch league.

Also am I the only one who finds all these girlfriend/wife etc analogies a bit weird?

Let Ten Hag buy a lot of players from the Eredivisie... If he then fails anyway... whoever takes over has a massive clean up job again. (Poch as well). Because they won't fit in anywhere in the new plan ? ... their current squad is filled with mistakes from 3-4 managers... and the same naive leadership at the club. Funny.

It's not the manager necessarily they need to replace first; it's a decent DOF. I just looked through their squad list. It's an absolute shambles. The money they've wasted is shocking.

Tbf, I’d probably do the same given the last few years, secure family financially etc - definitely not a footballing decision

This is it. It's not the Glazers not spending money. They've spent a fortune, way more than most other teams.
The recruitment and direction of the club is an absolute shambles.
