He's actually one of the finest midfielders in the premier League he just doesn't fit Conte's system. Any other club would be lucky to get him and I think we should all make that clear to them any chance we get.

Not so much awful on the pitch. Just not good enough for the new Spurs
He was poor before Conte came in.

I remember Mourinho’s first match when Winks and Dier were playing and he was non-existent in that as well - we barely scraped that 3-2 win thanks to our forwards and had no control in the middle at all.

He just can’t get control of the central midfield area, he showed a lot of promise when first getting into team so not sure if it is due to that long-term ankle injury but he’s been poor for ages.

And I was a massive fan of his when he first broke through and really wanted him to succeed.

I saw him in the latest training video...
Yrah but he clearly wasn’t training with the first team squad. He’ll either be training with the u23s or alone. He walked through but then not in the other videos with the squad.

Yes, I remember both him and Josh Onomah coming through the ranks from the Accademy and was sure both were going to be the future of Tottenham ala Kane and King.

Onomah just didn't take his opportunity. I mean he wasn't good enough so that's why, but I remember there being so much hype about him and when he got his chance he was absolutely awful. I think it was a league cup game against Liverpool at WHL when Liverpool played all their kids, and their kids looked fantastic and Onomah looked terrible. He just froze.

I thought Winks was the guy who Jose called a rat, in any event I'm guessing that Winks and his agent have been sold to sit tight by Everton. Once the Gordon transfer goes through, I think Winks moves final day.

As much as I think Everton would be dumb to not sell Gordon for 50-60m, you'd be very depressed as an Everton fan if they spent any of that money on Harry Winks when they're crying out for a goalscorer.

Personally think any chance of him going to Everton died when they spent £33m on Onana. On top of him they're pretty damn stocked up on middling CMs: Gomes, Allan, Davies, Doucoure, Gbamin and Iwobi (who is now used as an 8).

Possibly, I thought Lampard was keen though, I never underestimate Everton's ability to spend money on positions that aren't a big issue for them.
