His half time team talk was probably "If you go out there and win I will get rid of that bald midget"

Conte: “If we don’t win I prefer to kill…”

Clearly forgot to specify because everyone thought it would be them and played incredibly well during the second half

Early second half goal just what we needed. Hopefully that extended run of conceding first was a fluke run of form because I feel if we go 1-0 up we will win in his system but if we go 1-0 down we won't come back to win most of the time. Tonight his selection of Doherty and Gill was a great breath of fresh air on the right and Sonny is back in the goals.

Can you imagine if we actually backed conte.

say buy Porro, skriniar and mudryk. Pay whatever it takes even if it is a bit over the top.

it would transform us.

this is the type of quality we need.

I can't think of anything else than Conte saying to players at half time: "lads, this is all completely fucked up. Just stop worrying, that's all I'm asking you".

And that's how rebuild officially started.

10 or so days to get new players in and the injured ones back for Arsenal.
New additions and were more than capable of a 3rd/4th push .

Back him

While we need new players, they won't help against Arsenal. Bentancur and Kulu would.

What pleased me the most tonight was his use of Gil and Sarr.

I think Sarr would have started if it wasn't for the hierarchy.

This was huge IMO, Levy can't sack Conte after a 4-0 win where Conte gave minutes to some of our younger players (injuries played their part but still). We have 10 days before the big game, plenty of time for discussions to be had, air to be cleared and signings to be made to back the manager.

I am fairly down the middle in the whole Conte debate, don't particularly enjoy the football or the will he, won't he stay stuff. But it is clear the right choice from Levy for the club is to back the manager. If he wants to put the club on track he can do the right thing and I'm sure things would start to look a lot better for us both on and off the pitch. Don't want to stay another squad ability debate but I do think we are a very soft team, this uncertainty does not help us.

Use this result as a springboard, back Conte and I'm sure Conte will commit to the club. That will give a huge lift all round and we can kick on in the second half of the season.
