Hardly surprising if the latest reports are true.

Levy will see top 4 as achievable and if players are going to him explaining how pissed off they are, then it may force his hand. If he believes that Conte has lost the dressing room with his recent comments, then getting rid may well be what he does. CL is key for Levy so he will do whatever it takes to achieve it.

Regardless of what happens, it's all pointless as NOTHING ever changes!
Levy hasn't moved quickly enough if he wants top 4 as far as I'm concerned, that ship has sailed. I fear he's looking at the table and using us currently sitting in 4th place to justify doing nothing without taking games in hand into account. Even if we win all our home games (unlikely), if Conte keeps setting the team up the way he has been away from home we'll be lucky to scrape a couple of points together from our remaining 5 away matches (Everton, Newcastle, Liverpool, Villa and Leeds). He should've seen these recent away performances and got rid as soon as we were out of the CL and the FA Cup. We all know how we're going to approach those matches, they're all going to be painful to watch.

Mate the players are at least 50% different now to Poch!

It’s more likely the fact that since poch we’ve hired 3 negative managers in a row so the players are fed up, I don’t blame them!
But the players also complained about Poch at the end, that’s the point. The best thing to happen in the modern history of the club and they still complained. Now there are some legit reasons (he watched training on CCTV I think???) and did appear to be out of gas. And you are correct, there’s been serious turnover in the squad. But there’s a theme. And it’s because the ownership or whoever makes the managerial decisions allows players to have too much input. Then I think it’s so much easier in the future for players to complain again and they know they’ll get their way. The players aren’t good dealing with pressure because every time they’re allowed to relieve the pressure themselves by causing managerial changes. It’s also why I think Conte’s rant wasn’t 100% towards the players. I think he definitely is angry with them, but I do feel that he’s also critiquing the ownership and culture that allows these players an easy out when things get tough. I already said Conte is similar in that he just walks at the end of the season without having to deal with more pressure. But he’s right that the culture has to change. And he’s also right that it goes beyond any manager, as long as the players know they can enforce change whenever they want.

Only on here could you get people belittling other teams title wins and the records of coaches like Pep. Every day this forum surprises me.

Again Pep - never won a CL without Messi despite having Bayern and financially doped Man City

Conte took Inter to a Europa League final

Well Pep has taken City to CL final. Antonio Conte at CL is a joke around Europe. There were memes again after he crashed out rather early yet again.

If true it’s the least surprising thing I’ve ready in the last 24 plus hours

Oh the poor things! Conte is disturbing their tranquility. What did he do step on their auras while they were meditating?

Not for the first time the team are playing like a bunch of limp dicks and suddenly there’s all these negative stories about the manager is undermining their confidence. Nothing to do with the fact that they’re a bunch of spineless losers.

Probably, but young players usually are,
The most important thing is he definitely has talent, a top coach job is to help young players blossom and to help make them be consistent .
He didn't get a chance to show us if he is or isn't consistent, which is strange seeing what he thinks of the squad.
Tonight he played well against the world's greatest ever player and the current best player on the planet.
Consistency will come with games.
But are we the right place for him to learn? Should we not be using polished players.

I think you’re speculating there.

Also as for ‘players complaining’ every squad for every team ALWAYS will have some players who complain about something mabye because they don’t get on with the manager, find the training too intense, boring, not intense enough, because they don’t get played, they don’t like the tactics, blah blah blah, for me if you and others are trying to make out that this group of players are weak mentally because one or two of them have been rumoured to be complaining about Poch when he was burnout after 5 years of effort or about 3 of the most boring negative managers you will find then that doesn’t really say anything at all, sorry.

I’m not belittling Pep - I’m just putting his achievements into context - Prime Messi Barca, One horse town Bayern and Oil state funded Man City.

If people can’t see that his achievements pale in comparison to Klopp then they know nothing about football

If your boss called you selfish and lacking desire, how would you react?

Depends what experience you want in watching and supporting the club I suppose. If we only ever played polished players then you're deprived of...Modric, Bale, Eriksen, Alli, Kane...

Don't those turds understand they will be playing in europa league or conference league? Surely that is motivation along with the fucking fans that support them
After watching football for over 40 years I've learnt that it doesnt take much for your average 'professional' footballer to go through the motions and down tools. It's never their fault. Ever. And pride doesn't come into it.
Even ex players will try and defend the indefensible all the time.
You get in a position where the coach is leaving, probably, and then he comes out and calls you all legends. Thats it for that coach. They're not gonna pull their socks up and prove him wrong. No chance imo.

Complete boo lacks.

In our current squad we have:
-Captain of France
-Captain of South Korea
-Captain of England
-Brazils n.o9 who single handedly fought and gave 110% to keep Everton up last season
-PEH who gives 110% every game and who is a leader and ex captain of Southampton
-Emerson who is spending all
his money and time and efforts on private chefs and personal trainers to improve his game and give all his efforts to the club
-Eric Dier & Ben Davies model pro’s who have been incredibly loyal to us
-Perisic, Bentancur and others have won trophies and are stalwarlts for their national teams

etc etc etc

Sorry, these players might not be perfect but they are certainly not spineless losers.

Ancelotti got that Everton squad to finish 8th - they then stayed up by the skin of their teeth the following season and are bang in trouble again this year. He did a very reasonable job their in his one season.

won its all with AC Milan as well.

Zidane - fair enough

Milan was resourcewise big player at that time, Everton and Napoli were more of a tests. Ancelotti got Everton 12th and 10th. 3 seasons before him Everton finished 7th, 8th and 8th. His reign can be seen as start of their fall.
