I know there are some that are going to be upset if Naglesmann goes to Chelsea but I honestly believe Slot is the prime target anyway, and has been for over a week.
I want the one that wants to come here wholeheartedly.

More than happy with Slot. Be nice to have a manager who sees us a step up for a change.I know there are some that are going to be upset if Naglesmann goes to Chelsea but I honestly believe Slot is the prime target anyway, and has been for over a week.
And yet, you wind the clock back to when Mourinho was appointed and loads were saying they'd put up with any old shit if we won a trophy. I know we didn't win a trophy, but if you're happy to put up with any old shit you've been getting what you deserved for the past few seasons.
Assuming JN is gone, as he’d be number 2 for me, I’d go with that list. Currently I’d swap 2 and 3 but if Feyenoord get past Roma and win the league cup he’d go up to 2nd.I doubt we will get Nagelsmann.
So I will play it safer with my list of preferences;
1. Gallardo
2. Slot
3. De Zerbi
4. Amorim
5. Postecoglou
Disagree with this, even if Slot is our #1 choice, we need to see how he gets on in the cup, EL and make sure he doesn't bottle the league. We can wait another 8 weeks to see how it all unfolds. If this is the case I'd like us to get it done and announced if possible so the fans have same hope and ease the doom and gloom
I can understand why. We don't really know him, he's manager of Feyenoord (not a top club in Europe) and nobody really talked about him before.Underwhelmed by Slot if I’m honest
Just not sure on slot at all, don't know what he's done to warrant it yet!I know there are some that are going to be upset if Naglesmann goes to Chelsea but I honestly believe Slot is the prime target anyway, and has been for over a week.
Who do you reckon for DOF?Assuming JN is gone, as he’d be number 2 for me, I’d go with that list. Currently I’d swap 2 and 3 but if Feyenoord get past Roma and win the league cup he’d go up to 2nd.
Really need to sort out that DoF position tho if that’s the short list.
Doesn’t matter who will be. Will be same old.Who do you reckon for DOF?
Yeah I agree and also don't believe he will leave prior to the end of the season with Feyenoord. If it is Slot then it should be kept quiet until the end of his season. Sound out his people and get broad agreement but let the man go for his trophies. Not sure if I'd want someone that wasn't professional enough to see out his half finished job. He could leave Feyenoord with a couple of trophies - everybody's happy. (Aside from our shitty end of the season of course).

Slot? Most on here hadnt heard of him before conte went Kane will be gone and Slot given a load of budget players in summer and prob told to re-assess all out players coming back from loans. We will be back to fighting for Europa leagues places now imo for a long while
BMJWho do you reckon for DOF?
I be honest, I cba to find links, but Boehly at Dodgers didn't go there to win for the love of sport, he made moneylink?
Boehly wants to win. He may not understand how to get there - but he is not the same as Joe Lewis. Not even close.
Ajax's DoF just became available. I would look at him or a German DoF and get the young talent in the door.Who do you reckon for DOF?
Not arguing for Poch right now but I think this is harsh. First, Poch did fine at PSG - it’s a shit show whoever is manager so his error was really taking the wrong job. Second, he might deserve a second chance because Levy totally undermined his first reign with the refusal to follow his advice and refresh the squadThis is all very romantic n all but what has Poch done since he left us to lead you to the conclusion that he deserves a “second chance”?
What I want to see is us being in a manager who is on an upward trajectory and who plays football on the front foot. All the other guff about “I want someone who loves the club/makes me reconnect” is just typical Spurs fan inferiority complex talking imo. We do it do we can insulate ourselves from failure and say “yeah but at least I like the guy in charge”.
When I look at Gallardo for instance, I see a man who is presiding over a team that plays daring, pacy penetrative football. He’s doing that right now. Ditto Slot…. These managers are actually making waves and great progress currently.
You appear to want us to hire Poch despite his very mixed time at PSG and the fact that football has changed since he was last with us.
With the calibre of managers that are available/gettable I don’t think “he deserves a second chance” is a compelling enough reason.
just my 2 cents and not a personal ciriticism of you
Who was Ajax DoF?Ajax's DoF just became available. I would look at him or a German DoF and get the young talent in the door.
IMO I think the club should look to be the Dortmund of Premier League. Even if there's more turnover than required, BVB get the best young players in the world and offer them gametime, and still get into a few title races/UCL spots regularly.
I know the PL is a different beast, but shouldn't the argument remain constant that you should be able to offer the best young players in the world time in the most competitive league?

Koeman was a hit. Particularly retrospectively. Hiddink was a hit in all but one of his spells. Jol was good better than average. Very good for us infact. Van Gaal wasnt great but , again, if you looked at where man utd were before and after hard to say he really failed. And you missed the n1 failer, de boer.Just not sure on slot at all, don't know what he's done to warrant it yet!
Dutch coaches are hit or miss remember when all this board wanted De Boer?
It's still early days on Ten Haag, Jol (was ok), Rene Mulensteen wasn't very good at Fulham, Gullit, Hiddink, Koeman, Van Gaal, Advocaat (he was good tbf), it's just not inspiring especially when he hasn't played in the league etc
