Based off of all the reports, I don’t think it’s out of the realms of possibility(in fact I find it quite likely) that Nagelsmann, Rangnick and Spors have all been discussing the Spurs job together and how best they can get the gig whilst simultaneously being set up in the best possible way for success

1. Rangnick publicly recommends that Nagelsmann stays away from Chelsea, and one day later he pulls out of the running.

2. Rangnick publicly recommends the Spurs job to Nagelsmann but also recommends that that the club bring in an experienced DOF that Nagelsmann would like in place.

3. Rangnick also is very complementary about Daniel Levy publicly at a time when Levy was under a lot of public scrutiny.

4. We hear that there have been talks with Spurs and Nagelsmann and learned that he’s interested in the job but would need guarantees.

4. The German media take an about turn and start talking about how they hear that Nagelsmann would love the job. How he views it as a ‘Big Club with Big Potential’.
Words that would rile up an already frantic fan base, applying pressure on Levy to relent on the guarantees required to appoint him.

5. We hear that Johannes Spors is one of the leading candidates for the DOF role.

I personally believe that the way things have unfolded seems like Rangnick has been orchestrating everything in order to try and set up two of his disciples in a leading premier league club together.

And wouldn’t surprise me that shortly after appointing them, we would then announce a partnership with ‘Rangnick Kornetka Consulting’ which is Ralf Rangnick’s consulting company.

This thread is honestly getting tiring with all these silly puns....

Might even go as far as to say it's downright sporing at the minute.

It doesn't matter who the manager is, if he starts the season without a new top class goalkeeper and 2 top class experienced centre backs anyone will struggle. That's at least 100m of investment there, maybe even 200.

If we see the likes of Tanganga, Sanchez and Dier around and Davies in the first 11 we've fucked up.

If I was being interviewed I'd want it contractually confirmed that we were getting these players.

If we don't sign Lenglet and Romero gets an injury we could see a three at the back of Dier, Sanchez and Davies.

Stuff of nightmares.

Conte, José and Poch... none of them are bad managers, they all have their issues but ANY manager would struggle with our defence. If they are not asking for guarantees in signings then the we shouldn't be appointing them.
100% - you cannot make sugar out of sh1te. We have all known for years how much a downgrade from Toby and Verts the current crew are, yet DL and Co expect AC, JM etc to come in and somehow magically turn them into football geniuses. It may be possible in the short term, but long term they have been well and truly found out, couple that with some horrendous recruitment and its easy to see why we are in the mess we are in.
There needs to be a massive clear out and DL needs to start this clear out by accepting he is not the man to do it, that he cannot expect champions league prices for conference league players, no matter how much he foolishly paid for them. Long gone are the days when he thought he was a genius by pulling off the VDV signing, he has been exposed so many times since this for what he is, the wrong man to run the football side of the club.

PS we should go all out for DeZebri, Brighton are a joy to watch, play very effective football and are very much in the ethos of how we would want to watch Spurs play every week.

Spors is exactly how Robbie Keane says Spurs when he's doing punditry, it's perfect. Also Spors doesn't look like he might be a criminal which definitely works in his favour.

Good little interview with him

I was a bit "meh" until he said:

"In every development of a football club it is important to have a clear playing style...that this is very clear, with the coach and with myself; and out of this, translated into a clear recruitment strategy. And then, the main market is always the market where our club is, [and this] is the most important market for us. Then, on top of that international scouting is very important of course."

Why is the youth sector important?
"It is very important to develop players in our own club, in our own city - to bring them to the first team. It gives identity to everyone, so it is very important to us."

If he can deliver those, I'd like the man.
