Mason is far too big a risk IMO. There's no guarantees with anyone, but the next appointment is critical, or we'll genuinely end up as a bottom half club, particularly if Kane leaves.
The bar is set so low these days. One swallow and all that. Personally don't think he should be any where near the job.Sorry .. are people REALLY now beating the Mason drum again because he beat a good-as-relegated Leeds on the last day?!!
We’re not going to hear anything until next Saturday evening once Celtic have won the Scottish Cup.
Imagine we’ll want to speak to Ange and he won’t speak to anyone until their season is over.
So another week at least to wait IMO
A week or maybe 10 days. We’re not going to hear anything until next Saturday evening once Celtic have won the Scottish Cup.

We look better than we did under Conte, so why not?Sorry .. are people REALLY now beating the Mason drum again because he beat a good-as-relegated Leeds on the last day?!!
But so what if it’s ‘cheap’ if that’s a dig at levy then it’s silly as he’s always spent big on manager wages, if its not a dig at levy then it’s just generally a bit of an irrelevant point. It is a cheap option. How you can try and sugarcoat that as not cheap and brave is beyond me.
Fine if people don’t want Mason I get that but thinking Levy will ‘walk all over him’ is just such a wrong way to look at it.I think appointing Mason is dangerous territory. Levy would walk all over him, we would/could end up with an even more bloated and unbalanced squad.
I like Mason, he has done his bit stepping in this season but he needs to leave and develop elsewhere. It’s like some of our players, they need to leave or they will just stagnate on this sinking ship.
Do we fuck. We look better than we did under stellini. Conte left with us in 4th, and was disappointed with the form that had us there. Mason has beaten palace and Leeds and done nothing else of note.We look better than we did under Conte, so why not?
Mason is not the right person for the job right now. Regardless of how you put it or state he has spent big before it is a cheap option for Levy. But so what if it’s ‘cheap’ if that’s a dig at levy then it’s silly as he’s always spent big on manager wages, if its not a dig at levy then it’s just generally a bit of an irrelevant point.
I am pretty sure our previous four managers started of wanting to work with Levy?Fine if people don’t want Mason I get that but thinking Levy will ‘walk all over him’ is just such a wrong way to look at it.
Levy could/would be guided by him on a clearly aligned vision for the club and team on the football side. Ryan could work ‘with’ Levy and the new DofF and he’s already said it’s very important we sort out the loans and squad size, Ryan is a clever young man and he’s spoken in recent pressers about the mistakes the club has made and what we need to change, this idea that he’d be a ‘yes man’ or ‘walked all over’ is absolutely so wrong.
Too inexperienced sure I get that argument but no way he’d be walked all over, not a chance and we need someone to work ‘with’ levy and the new DofF on a new vision and project not to ‘challenge’ him like
Conte and Jose supposedly were here to do.
I’m not saying I’m always right but I do like it when I get some disagrees as that’s what a forum is about but I’ve got the majority of my educated opinions right in the past, I had about 20 disagrees when in pre season I said Arsenal would be title challengers, so I’ll continue to back myself that if we can’t get one of the top 5/6 options available then Mason should be considered at that stage and has some pros in terms of his clear and correct vision for the club if he got offered the job.Fine if people don’t want Mason I get that but thinking Levy will ‘walk all over him’ is just such a wrong way to look at it.

Because we won a gameWhy the sudden increased discussion of Mason getting the job? Am I missing something?
Enrique it is then.
I think it comes down to that last paragraph. Nobody in here wants us to fail and that is how it seems to be going.I’m not saying I’m always right but I do like it when I get some disagrees as that’s what a forum is about but I’ve got the majority of my educated opinions right in the past, I had about 20 disagrees when in pre season I said Arsenal would be title challengers, so I’ll continue to back myself that if we can’t get one of the top 5/6 options available then Mason should be considered at that stage and has some pros in terms of his clear and correct vision for the club if he got offered the job.
That being said I’ve always said if Mason did end up with the Job then Levy will have failed big time to not secure the likes of Naglesman, Slot, Gallardo, Poch, De Zerbi etc etc
1 game a week next season would be ideal for Conte
