Has anyone got any news on when we might actually get to hear from our new Glorious Leader?
Yea he said he's going to do a Paratici style i-phone video except in his kangaroo print board shorts and sunnies whilst downing a few beers on a sunlounger with his family on holiday.

I agree, outgoings is probably more important. If we could ship out like 8 or so players who Ange deems as surplus to requirements (optimistic and accept that 8 is perhaps not likely in one window) then I would be happy. In this window, if we just signed a GK, A promising CB and a LB (number 10 like a Madison would be great as well) I will be happy with that then Jan/next summer look to get another CB or 2
So, are people now deciding that Udogie is surplus because he is considered a wing back rather than a left back? Seems a pity given how highly rated he is in Italy.

When are the players due to return back for preseason training? Before Ange officially starts on 1st July? Assume that Mason and his crew will continue their efforts until Ange is officially allowed to start, albeit with direction from the incoming boss.

I noticed that the Burnley players have already returned to training on Monday! Short summer break for them to return to training whilst other EPL teams still haven't finished this season yet.

Burnley only went back in for fitness checks etc, they are back on holiday again, returning in a few weeks.

If he likes full backs tucking into midfield I reckon Emerson Royal will thrive as he already improved coming in central more when playing wing back, so seems better suited to tucking in more centrally rather than the kind of full back that gets to the byline and whips in crosses.

My thinking is, firstly he’s young and untested so probably best he’s a back up option at first and secondly I’d be happy to let both Perisic and Sess leave.

He doesn’t start work until July does he? Then he will need time to assess the players that we have, see how they shape up in training, decide who he can work with and who he wants to ship out. By that time we could be nearing the end of the window
Let’s hope all his best choices haven’t been snapped up already by other clubs and that someone will want our cast offs. Otherwise we will be looking to the January window blah blah difficult to buy then blah blah wait until next summer blah blah…
Hi first post here.

Just about Ange, being an Aussie I have a fair idea how he operates. He is fanatical about the game, the fact that he is on "holidays" won't stop him preparing to the best of his ability before he starts officially in July.

He is extremely well organised, whether that translates to the success the fans want I don't know, but if he doesn't succeed it won't be due to a lack of effort.

Going by what happened at his previous clubs he won't be afraid to clean out the squad, he seems to prefer working with a squad he can shape himself as much as possible.

I can only wish him the best of luck and hope it works out, I honestly don't know how it will go so I'm keen to see what he starts doing with the squad, especially.

The only thing I can say for certain is that there will be much more swearing in the locker room. Dude's an Australian and they use it like punctuation, and I'm 100% here for that.

Poor bastard's gonna be sat in the dark forensically analysing Eric Dier's positioning while the rest of the family's in the pool.

The problem when clubs like ours try and move players is the wages. Usually only other prem clubs can afford them. We will have to have some cut price moves for the likes of Ndombele , Lo Celso, Reguillon, Winks, Unless Ange takes a liking. Loan limit for players over 21 is down to 7 for next season. We will need to sell some of these players. At the last count with loan players returning and Lenglet, Danjuma and Moura gone, is 29 plus Sarr as under 21.

Stoked with this. Always thought he would suit us. Think he will do well and at least get fans on board. Very much a likeable character in the Jol, Redknapp, Poch mould. Will play good footy Also the 1st Aussie to coach in the prem which is huge for us in Oz. COYS! Come on Ange!
You say he’s a likeable character but from various posts and articles in the press and the Athletic ,he seems quite aloof. Poch was different to that . Kane said he would often go in his office discussing football, not really Anges style is it. No doubt he engenders a great team spirit which is what we really need at the moment. Might find some players will react better to him than Conte and Mourinho.
I am looking forward to it.

Annoying if we have to wait another 3 weeks for his first interview if that is the case?

The thing I’ve enjoyed most listening to him talk about is his dad. How he shaped him and how much he loved him, almost came across as vulnerable which makes me feel a bit better about the whole distant/scary thing. Seems like an introspective guy.

That sucks dude, do you think they are targeting you because an ex or someone close has said something?
I doubt it, the lonely single milfs who are dying to meet me in my area never even turn up.

Just a question related to our new manager to our Aussie SC community. Why does Australia have such a large Greek community? Was there a time when Australia was a Greek colony? Did Alexander the Great have a run-in with a kangaroo with a nasty jab that led to a subsequent invasion?

I believe after world war II there was a civil war in Greece and Australia opened their doors to many Greeks.

Happy to be corrected.
