I was enjoying LWOS for a while and liked Ricky Sacks enthusiasm and positivity. But then I stopped listening because of Ricky Sacks enthusiasm and positivity. I’m just getting old.
I used to really enjoy it but feel like Ricky and the panel just because all so negative and then they just got guests on who really didn't have a clue what they were talking about so I switched to Dan Kelly and The Athletic one as at least they know their stuff generally.

View from the Lane is the one for me. A good blend with a couple of Spurs fans (Danny and James Maw) and some articulate journalists (Pitt Brooke and Eccleshare). They've got the balance about right I think even if, sometimes, Danny can be a bit much.

Yeah I like the alchemy you get having an old-school fan like Danny mixed with the more detached modern journos and a younger fan in James Maw.

Danny occasionally wont STFU and loves the sound of his own voice a bit too much, especially when there's only one other pundit on with him, but overall I find it more interesting and fun having him involved than just 3 similar-aged Athletic blokes talking it through. Makes it a more unique pod IMO.

I think it is terrible usually but they get some good guests on so occasionally worth a listen. I wouldn't usually go out of my way but was stuck on a bus for nearly an hour this morning so it killed a bit of time.

Steered clear of LWOS for a while because each pod was just an audio rip of the YouTube show lasting 4hours each time...

..I just listened to the latest one, and it's got Matt Law on (yes him) and was very good, and he had some nice balanced things to say about us, with good insight. Short and sweet, didn't have 1000 people talking all the time. 🤣

TFC this week was a bit, errrrr, ummmm, like, maybe dunno without Flav hosting it.

Not usually a fan but LWOS is pretty good this week with Matt Law on it. He starts off being a he’ll end as you’d expect but as it goes on he gets better and there’s quite a few transfer bits in there.

I thought the same re ML, came across well (after a while) – I've never paid much attention to the he hates Spurs thing, I think he – like we all do – see the club, and the way its run, as a bit of a joke last few years.

I find it easy to skip LWOS episodes, they're too long and usually sound like a stream of consciousness from whoever's on that week. But I do like their immediate post-match reactions, particularly after a loss. I find that, generally, the normal crew don't overreact and apply a good sense of perspective.

Though VFTL is far superior IMO. Jack and Charlie not being Spurs fans helps!

Law actually came across as a person who is nearly as frustrated with the club and with levy as one of us. Definitely made me think of him differently. But he’s still a bellend at large!

I quite like the Dr Tottenham podcast, Vas Koni and the other English fella are pretty well reasoned and knowledgeable and the US guy is quite witty.

Is the one that Bring Back Le Gin started still going? I can’t remember what it was called.

What happened to Le Gin by the way?

VFTL is the best podcast by far. LWOS annoys me too much.. just count the number of times Ricky says "and Like I say"

The Spurs Plus Dave podcast.

Think he was banned, or maybe left. Can't remember which.

An Echo of Glory started 4 weeks ago.

Very professional, excellent guests Im enjoying it. Give iet a try.

I'll give that one a listen as I need a new one to add to my current list of VFTL, Gold and Guest, Spurs Plus Dave and the Steve Perryman podcast.

When those run out I have backups of Rule The Roost and LWoS, but I only listen to them if I have nothing else to listen to.

I find them both a bit much tbh, especially LWoS and think they love the sound of their own voices, but I guess that comes with the amount of listeners they get.

Also Ricky Sacks sounds like a testicular medical condition (his name I mean, not his voice).

VFTL is the best one out there. LWOS can be enjoyable/terrible but really depends on the guests (some are absolutely insufferable) and they manage to drag most shows out for over two hours.

Don’t listen to any of the others regularly.

What’s emerged for me about the stand out Spurs pods over the last two seasons is the ability to have an entertaining pod in both good and troubled times. So the top tier for me for some time now has been Gold and Guest, The Fighting Cock, and View from the Lane.

The next tier IMO should only be listens after the first three because they can just be too hit or miss with what is happening week to week in the matches or the mood of the fans including The Extra Inch, Rule the Roost, LWOS, etc.

I do like Gold & Guest although Guest’s mastery of the English language is questionable. Ally’s obviously great and ‘one of our own’ although he is prone to rambling on.

I think the rambling is less on the pod versus his soliloquies on YouTube

Yeah I see what you mean about the 'troubled times' thing.

I'm fully back on board the Extra Inch train now but had to stop listening for much of Jose's tenure. The pod became insufferable due to their relentless dislike of Jose.
