Don't understand the logic behind this. You are not gonna offer Dier a new contract so he goes free in a years time. Surely you would try to get some money for him now and save wages. He is everything that has been wrong with our club over he last 3 years.

That report sounds like this is what he wants rather than the club. Once he realised he might struggle for game time, he is approach should change.

This constant hate towards Dier is getting tedious. Our whole defence was dogshit last season, and it was clearly a systemic issue, not just the fault of the individual players. Romero, Kulu, Son etc were just as bad as him all season, yet i don't see constant snide posts about them. He was also carrying an injury.

Dier has shown that he's capable of playing to a good level when he's on form and the defence is well organised. He's more than good enough to be a backup option for us. If Ange likes him then i don't see what the problem is.

I don’t hate Dier as human, he actually seems a decent bloke but he has been terrible for a good while and is arguably more culpable than the other defenders as the senior pro. All about opinions and we see different things but whilst he has the opportunity to get on the pitch our defence will be vulnerable 👍

If he is hardly going to play as 4th choice, financially you can save £5m in wages plus any transfer fee you can get which would go into wages for any new signing.

Sure, and if Ange and the club think that then i have no problem with that decision.

Just bored of people trying to make out that he's a terrible defender when he clearly isn't.

I would be happy with 5 signings total rather than 5 more to be honest. When you add Udogie to that it's a good number of changes. Especially if they're all genuine 1st team quality.

I sure am glad everyone is having another discussion about how good or bad Dier is in this thread rather than his player thread right about now

How’s this off topic when we’re discussing Dier as being on Dragons list of exits 🤷‍♀️
Because Dier has been discussed to death.

So now, every time we get ITK on him, do you think it’s time to go through it all again in here or should people go to his thread?

Have a think. Go on. You can do it.

On the subject of us being able to sell players I think it's worth remembering that if they're ready to move on their own people will be already be investigating options which they'll bring the club in on when necessary. If Perisic and Sanchez for example are ready to leave you can bet your bottom dollar their agents aren't waiting until July 1st to start looking around.
