Most of the people in the decision-making process very highly rate Taps. The data team, some of our scouts (unfortunately we still have some scouts - for now - who haven’t bought into this new way of thinking and working), and especially the two people who aren’t yet employees of the club believe he’d be a great fit for our plans. Having said that, we feel we’ve offered a very fair price and if Leverkusen are good to go at that price, we do it. If not, we’ll spend the money on other targets. For the first time that many of us can remember we’re not messing other clubs around by nickel and dimeing them, and we’re not allowing ourselves to be messed around by other clubs. Feels both weird and wonderful to be working this way. We’re moving with speed and purpose. Surreal. Hoping DL has the spheres to stay the course.
Are we finally behaving like a proper big club?!
No messing, just do the deal or we walk away. We won't mess about so don't expect us to put up with it from you.

Possibly the best Itk so far for me.

i can only get so erect. unfortunately with all this mega-positive itk my spurs spidey-sense is going crazy waiting for the dip.

if tapsoba joins with another cb and with all the planned ins, we'll have virtually a whole new team ready to go. exciting times.

Dragon is in a talkative mood today on COYS.

On Postecoglou’s hiring:

Two of the reasons he was bought in were neither Jose or conte promoted youth , he will , as well as Devine and Spence we have four or five exceptional kids in under 17s and club want them integrated

another reason is he is decisive , the squad needed a large overhaul , past coaches were not strong and himmed and hared the club needed someone strong at the helm to guide the board and as you are seeing he is doing that and we are getting things done.

On who we will be bringing in:

Will not be a left back , we have udogie coming in , two center half’s , two midfielders , winger/ forward
Interesting that Ange is considered strong in comparison with Jose and Conte, 2 of the biggest, most headstrong characters in modern football.

Wonder what that means, exactly? Were the other 2 not decisive on transfers and preferred to leave it to the DoF? Or only demanded very specific players (Bastoni, Gvardiol) and weren't interested in much beyond that?

Does seem that Ange is a bit old school and kinda likes to do a bit of everything when he arrives at a club which is perhaps what he means?

Quite nice we seem to be announcing signings reasonably quick as well. Announcement videos etc seemed to take an age last year

Because Jose smooth talked himself into the job, he probably accepted players not up to it only to then complain months later.

Conte seemed to allow a short period of good form from Doherty, Dier etc to give them time only to explode months later.

I reckon thats what he means and Postecoglou is telling them right off the bat, that certain players wont work in his system and he could work with cheaper options in the markets whereas Conte probably turned his nose up and Said hed rather work with what he had only to complain about it later.

But great to hear we are being decisive cause theres more transparency on how we operate.

It almost feels as if Daniel Levy has stepped back from footballing decisions… Can it be?

Perhaps.

Or more likely he's realised that if he doesn't adapt his MO the pressure for him to leave will increase further.

But credit where its due, we're acting like a big Club.

That’s all well and good but what’s the Darts supposed to mean? Are we trolling Danny Rose?

Damn, fair play so fair from Munn and Levy.

Maybe the Levy out chants last season finally hit home.

No Spurs fan expects a summer transfer window where we spend £200m. All we've wanted for years now is to address key areas.

GK - Tick.
Creative midfielder - Tick
Quality LCB - Looking close to a tick

Obviously a couple more needed after that, but if we manage to get in a top LCB within a week, thats fucking excellent business so far.

I'm genuinely excited for next season.

COYS!!

I’m spelling it with 1 D and 2 Ss until he reached 10goals next season. He needs to earn the correct spelling around here.

I guess one of these is Munn? Any ideas on the other?

Huh, wonder if we're going to announce our new DoF (or recruitment director, whatever) on 1st July.
