I think you should launch an 85 MPH delivery at him in the garden to test the theory.
All joking aside he’d probably put it back over my head, he’s ramping his older brother who’s coming in at about 55/60 and his favourite shot is the hook when I pitch it in at his head.
Hard ball next season with the bowling machine might be the only way to put him back in his box for a year or two the cocky so and so.

Sounds a bit like Ally Brown at that age, who I grew up playing with

Bairstow's average having not kept wicket first is much better. Also, he'll be annoyed that he didn't get his ton last week... I've jinxed him haven't I?

Can't tell until both teams have batted blah blah, but this looks an excellent test match pitch, a fair contest between bat and ball. Some excellent shots being played and the ball regularly beating the bat. 300 is a good score; 350 is excellent.

If England can get up to 250-300, I don’t think they’d be too disappointed, especially being given the chance to bowl in probably the best conditions.

I agree I'm not too worried yet, as the predicted conditions will suit our attack more than theirs imo. This is far from a flat track betting pitch

Brilliant partnership from Woakes and Wood. I’d say the game is just about level at the mo.
Can’t be level - you can’t be 7 wickets down at tea on day 1 of a test match and be level

Not unless you’ve got about 350!

24 overs in those 2hrs, pathetic. When is something going to be done about this shite?

Supposed to bowl 90 overs today 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

That takes us up until about 7.15 tonight which is exactly what should happen!
