Maybe the rules are a little relaxed on deadline day, but images in the ITK thread is very brave. I would delete it mateChuck Norris Image

Agree but as a free transfer and 30 yo not sure he is going to have a long list of clubs...Hes not exactly in demandDier is well aware he won’t be in the team this year if he stays. From his perspective, would rather not play this year and pick his club as a free transfer opposed to moving and locking himself in at a club like Bournemouth. How are you proposing to be ruthless?
The Doherty/Aurier way perhaps? In what way?
Terminate Dier.
Terminate Dier.
He’ll be backTerminate Dier.
We need to just be ruthless here if Dier (in the eyes of the club) is holding up recruiting in the CB area.
tbf last couple of windows have been dull at the end....Sky in January had nothing to sayWhy is it always a scramble for us? Just once I would like a nice boring transfer window. I have too much work on, and this sideshow takes up too much time. I'll have to go down to PT just to keep up at this rate.
The same way Arsenal dealt with Ozil, Mustafi and Sokratis in the same windowIn what way?
We’re touting Dier to all and sundry by the sounds of it - but if he’s looking to see out his contract for a big payday next season, we’ll have to loan him - he can continue to play and get paid.I think it was more about offering Bournemouth a replacement for Kelly so they're not short on options.
Thanks and done! Didn't realise no images in ITK - need to do some swotting up on the rules!I'd delete that quickly if I were you.
He obviously thinks he's going to get a fudge loads of offers as a free agent.Agree but as a free transfer and 30 yo not sure he is going to have a long list of clubs...Hes not exactly in demand
No hard feelings on the guy but equally no room for sentiment when his inclusion is going to be detrimental to what Ange is trying to achieve.Christ on a bike, The bloke has been a great servant to the club and yes he may be on the wane now but the disrespect being thrown at Dier is shocking in my opinion. He may not play but he is a solid and intelligent bloke who I think would offer more being around than just tossed out if he cant find a move to suit him. State of some of the comments on here making me want to go all Will Smith and give it the take Eric Diers name out of yo mouths!!!
Surely it would be better to loan him somewhere? The same way Arsenal dealt with Ozil, Mustafi and Sokratis in the same window
It's not a great approach though really is it?The same way Arsenal dealt with Ozil, Mustafi and Sokratis in the same window
I don't think it's disrespectful at all. Yeah he might be a nice bloke, and yeah he's done OK for us. But it's clear he wants to hold out to become a free agent and as a result it's hampering our recruitment.Christ on a bike, The bloke has been a great servant to the club and yes he may be on the wane now but the disrespect being thrown at Dier is shocking in my opinion. If the cost is the same as keeping him, I would let him sit in the stands for the season. Why give him what he wants?Might as well just terminate his contract. If he's holding up transfers then pay him off now. It's blatantly clear he's not in our plans and he wants to be a free agent so just take the hit and do it now.
Otherwise we'll end up paying him anyway for the next 12 months and not playing him.
Needs must in the circs. It's not a great approach though really is it?
