To play where?I'd take Cole Palmer in a heartbeat.
Signed for Chelsea for €113m in 2021 on a 5 year deal. So this summer he still has a book value of €45m. £50m would only net Chelsea about £11.5m in bookable profit against FFP.Lukaku is courting Saudi league massively, I could see one of the Saudi clubs that Chelsea ownership also has ownership in to lug a 50mil offer on the table for him

Agreed, but that’s a lot of selling to get done by 30th June.every little bit adds up

That's my point. Any PL club that buys a single Chelsea player before the deadline is doing themselves and the league a disservice. It's much better for Chelsea to be in the shit with points deductions than any benefits they might get from a player in.We have to see the bigger picture in that if we don't pay it then someone else will so we may aswel benefit from it

And there’s plenty of clubs who simply can’t spend much before that date.
Quite right. That's my point. Any PL club that buys a single Chelsea player before the deadline is doing themselves and the league a disservice. It's much better for Chelsea to be in the shit with points deductions than any benefits they might get from a player in.
By all means sign a couple of their players in August. Just don't help them out in June.

I think I’m largely with you on this coz, you know, fuck Chelsea and all that, but I am torn a bit. The main reason being I’m not really sure how much a point deduction is going to affect them really.I'll repeat a point I've made earlier in that it's in every other PL club's interest to NOT buy players off Chelsea before the deadline. There's no good reason to help them out.
I'll go as far as saying anyone who does help them out is making a massive mistake, no matter which players we're talking about.
The simple solution to that is buy them after the June 30th cutoff. Secure that points deduction for them and then bid low for their players, they'll still need to sell later in the window as well.I think I’m largely with you on this coz, you know, fuck Chelsea and all that, but I am torn a bit. Let’s say, for arguments sake, they get a 6 point deduction (after a reduction like Everton’s) is that going to be the difference between top 4 or relegation? Possibly (well top 4 not so much relegation) but unlikely imo. I see them being slightly better next season but not much.
As I say, though, I generally agree with your point but if we could get a great player of there’s for a cheap price that could improve us a lot you could argue it could be the difference between finishing top 4 or not for us.
He will.Tottenham Hotspur stadium

I don't get why you have to ask the question though like I have to justify my opinion to you?He will.
At least once a season unless he's injured or suspended.

Would buy Colwill if he was cheap. Top centre half and can cover left back. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.None of their players are worth buying to help them out. Better value elsewhere
The league won't be as weak at the bottom next season with Leicester and Leeds back up, anything can happen if their finances are in a worse state than Everton's and they actually get deducted 10-15 points. The thing is though, if Chelsea are struggling to stay in the top half this season, then what will they be like when they've had to sell players? I get the idea of not wanting to help them out as they will then face a points deduction. But are they really going to be a threat to finishing in the CL places next season? If we truly believe that one of their players can make us a better team and he's available at a low price, is it worth not signing him just so Chelsea can finish 14th instead of 9th?
