I give this a watch now and again, it has been so long since he played for us:
Quintessential Spurs player.

He was also covering for Romero not paying attention. For me, Vdv is one of the easiest to forgive today. Was very poor by his standards, but I said this in the son thread. Despite what the commentators would have you believe, he was sold massively short of son’s ability to hold onto a relatively easy ball (twice) and a shocking ball by Porro. Both son and Porro should be apologising to him as they sold him short and the media will miss these vital points
Exactly this.First bad game of the season and he’s 22 years old. He will learn from it I’m sure.
Big rare off day for Micky today, he’ll learn from it and improve.
Yea agree mate a lot of players look tired and off form.Agreed, but what worries me is the lack of confidence/form/(down to tiredeness?) that seems to be spreading throughout the team in general. I really can't think of a single player at the moment who is playing anywhere near the top of his game. I just hope VDV's poor game against the bar codes doesn't become a habit, going forwards.
Definitely. Was properly sat down on his arse twice, but have every faith that he will learn from it as he's been excellent throughout. One bad game does not make a bad season. Even the elite CBs and players have off days, Saturday was just his time for one. Still up there as player of the year for us in my opinion.
