mmm....That does not make anysense...For starters, if your comments had less drama & more substance, I may listen to you - not 'Kane may leave if we sign him'

And why would anyone believe you for scout report on Cancelo & not our scouting team who do their due diligence ?

Yeah, you quoted something I didn't say tho. So that doesn't make sense. Never mind, it's all opinions.

Was a god for me in football manager (as lots of links have been this summer) so, on that basis, sign him up. In reality, know fuck all about him

Just reading reports from Italy & Spain - story seems to be Cancelo handed in a transfer request when Juve were interested. Valencia has set the fee as 25m€. But Juve are pushing a player + cash deal , with players mentioned being Lemina or Rincon and also Juve trying to bring the fee down.

Given Lemina has just signed for Southampton, probably changes things.

I am not sure where this leaves Juve's current offer. May be this is where we are stepping in with a cash only offer.

While I like Pereira, just feel thats a harder deal to do with Porto. So, won't be surprised if we do end up with Cancelo.

Didn't Juve sign De Sciglio? I know he has played at left back a lot but he is right footed so I assume he will play right back at Juve. Do they still need a right back?

He is a very good player. Wouldn't be upset if we signed him. Technically gifted. Reminds me of a slighter Corluka with more pace, tricks and wouldn't look out of place as a winger.

I think he would be perfect as a wingback.

The crowd will love him, proper has a go at taking people on.

Or, watch some of his games before trying to make a smart arse comment? Fair do's though, each to their own.
Watched some videos and I understand your concern. He wants to beat everyone and not once does he stick the ball where and when it should be. Not sure he would be any better than walker with his crossing. Looks rapid tho.

There was an article published today or yesterday in the Portuguese press (I think ojogo?) that Pereira is staying and is willing to sign a new deal to put him among the highest earners at Porto and of course an increased release clause. Could be why this link has resurfaced.

Hmm. Feels like there is something to this one, at least as someone we are enquiringly heavily about . A lot of things make sense.

Young player (23) who sounds very pacey and can take players on with his dribbling skill. Might be able to attack one on one more than Walker did and since he is younger, might be a good exchange, especially as a wing back instead of a traditional right back. Doesn't seem JJ poo-pooed this one immediately.

I'm really struggling to see us spending circa 20m on what would be a back up right back.

He'd be replacing what Trippier was last year, where he started 6 PL games (many coming when Poch fell out with Walker) and 3 CL games.

I'm all for it happening with Poch thinking KWP isn't ready but I dunno just doesn't really seem like something we'd do.

He won't be a back up. He will be required for different types of opposition.

Same as Rose & Davies have different uses.

We have a RB on loan at Atlanta United if we get desperate. Walkes is his name, close enough to Walker.

Mmm how many right backs have we been connected to now? I've lost count.

I miss the days when we stockpiled rightbacks. Chimbonda, Corluka, Hutton, Walker and Naughton, not to mention Kaboul who was used there a fair bit for us, all at once wasn't it?
